Dude Derek, if you make less than 111k a year, Obama's tax cuts will benefit you more than McCain's. Obama is only raising taxes for those that make over 111k. Considering Obama makes over 111k, he IS putting his money where his mouth is.

Always remember under Obama's plan, it does not take in account the Bush tax cut that you will no longer get as of 2009. Factor that in and you get nothing!

The problem with the Obama tax plan is it taxes the higher tax brackets and benefits the most people that end up not owing taxes. Thus giving them a check every year. Most of those people will be happy and vote for Obama. But dont understand it keeps them from ever striving to move up and allowing Government to continue to hold control. Government was never ment to control its people. And the princible behind the Obama tax program sucks. I do not want anyone elses tax money to benifit me or my family, nor do I want my hard earned money to be given to those that do not work for it!

So what you're saying is that a yearly check for a few hundred bucks is going to remove all incentive for people? Give me a break man.

Tax rates absolutely need to be higher the farther you go up the bracket. Granted, I believe they should be fairly low across the board. You can't expect someone that makes 20k a year to pay the same rates as someone that makes 20 million. 5k a year in taxes for someone that makes 20k is a lot more than 5mil a year for someone that makes 20 million. A gallon of milk costs the same whether you are dirt poor or a multimillionaire.

Also, Obama will only eliminate Bush's tax cuts for those that make over 250k.
