If he wasn't born in the US then why would there be a certificate of live birth for him in the US? Also, if his mother is a US citizen why would she give birth to him in Africa then immediately come back to the US? Wouldn't it make more sense to give birth to the child here?

Vedubin I think you should just give up on this one. The evidence for Obama not being a US citizen is sketchy at best. Not only that but even if it came out that he wasn't born in the US, I would still vote for him. The mans mother is American, he was educated at Columbia then Harvard where he was top of his class. He is perfectly qualified to be President of this country.

I can't seriously believe you think that. Well, I can believe it, but it saddens me because you basically said that one man is greater than the Constitution. George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, all those really smart people that founded this country spent years writing this document to ensure no one man was above the constitution, but it doesn't have to matter to you, you know best (and so does Obamessiah). I personally don't know what to think about the issue of his birth. There's still something fishy about the process and his reluctance to release some of these documents, but I don't see anything to convince me he isn't a citizen firmly enough yet. It should most definitely matter to you however. If he is not qualified, it rips apart the very fabric of the ideas the Constitution was written on.

          Holmes,

Why dont you ever look into something deeper than just what some one tells you? Read what Berg was suing on and it would answer your own questions. Also read the federal law I posted in previous posts to know who is legal and not legal to be a US citizen even if having 1 parent that was born in the US..

I will not make another thead for this but hear ya go... you know the ones that want peace and love!

You're the only one "telling" me anything. If I see a Mexican walking towards me on the street am I supposed to just assume that they aren't a US citizen? You and Phillip Berg are the ones making a claim and the burden of proof lies with you.

Ral, I don't believe anyone should be above the Constitution. So let me retract my previous statement and say that if I heard that he wasn't a US citizen then no I wouldn't vote for him. That doesn't change the fact that he is more than qualified for the position.

Obama citizenship question goes to U.S. Supreme Court

Obama citizenship question goes to U.S. Supreme Court
                      BY CHRIS RIZO
                      Barack Obama (D)
WASHINGTON (Legal Newsline)-The former deputy Pennsylvania attorney general who challenged Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama's qualifications to be president has appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Lafayette Hill, Pa.-based attorney Philip Berg, a self-described "moderate to liberal" Democrat who supported Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, alleged that the Illinois senator is not a U.S. citizen and therefore ineligible for the presidency.

He had his lawsuit rejected Friday by U.S. District Judge Richard Barclay Surrick of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Disputing Obama's Hawaiian birth, Berg claimed Obama is either a citizen of his father's native Kenya or that he became a citizen of Indonesia after he moved there as a young child.

For his part, Obama has posted on his Web site a Certificate of Live Birth indicating he was born in Honolulu in 1961.

In his ruling, Surrick said Berg lacked standing to bring the lawsuit. The judge also said that the harm from an allegedly ineligible candidate was "too vague and its effects too attenuated to confer standing on any and all voters."

In a statement, Berg said he was within his rights to file suit challenging Obama's qualifications.

"I am totally disappointed by Judge Surrick's decision and, for all citizens of the United States, I am immediately appealing to the U.S. Supreme Court," he said.

Would Barack Obama be able to pass a FBI background check and/or get a high level security clearance?

Probably not, and for good reason, yet some people think it's irrelevant.

Obama can put this whole controversy to rest by authorizing the state of Hawaii to release his Birth Certificate, just like John Kerry could have in 2004 by releasing his military records (all of them) to the public (and not just to a couple of media friendly outlets that only printed the favorable parts)

To this day, we still don't know why it took Kerry 8 years to get a Honorable Discharge.

The media has spent more time investigating "Joe the Plumber" and his background then that of the Democratic nominee for President and of Bill Ayers combined.

Someone has their priorities screwed up.

But I guess reporting things like the cost of Sarah Palin's eyeglasses are more important.

Winner. This entire race has been run by the liberal media...and they're doing a good job of mucking up the information.

Instead of reading about what different policies each candidate backs, I see ridiculous bashing (whether subliminal or blatant) on McCain and mostly Palin.

However, Obama is treated like the god of reform. Check out Newsweeks cover of him vs. Palin.

The problem stills stands that instead of being open about his history, Obama chooses to hide it. Running for Presidency and hiding historical data is a big problem for me (someone on the cusp of either side). If he isn't releasing simple medical and school records, what's next?

So when does dubya's arrest record get released from his daddy's library? I'd like to learn more about his sealed records, considering he's already the president. Is he actually going to own up to cocaine abuse/DUI arrests now, or will we continue with the slip of the tongue that was responsible for us even knowing in the first place?

Should we bring up Brad Hanson sealing the records of his divorce once Sarah Palin was nominated, as she was the other woman who ruined his marriage, while she herself was married?

Since we're on the topic why are John McCain's actual armed forces service records sealed? I mean he was a hero right? Shouldn't he want people to know that?

But Obama has to prove he's even a citizen.

Where did those swift boat veterans for truth run off to?
