Well wouldn't you say that Bush has more experience at being a president then either McCain or Obama? He has been doing it for going on 8 years now.

So does that mean you would have voted for Bush if he could have been on the ballot?

Considering R3V has been full of typical 4chan edits of Obama lately, why the hell not add some more?

So you voted to put criminals away? I thought you voted for rehab and keeping dangerous people on the street. It's not their "fault", they are just sick. Right?

McCain, at least during the campaign, never demonstrated to a sufficient number of Americans that he knew what he was doing. And the choice of Palin cinched it.

The McCain campaign had numerous occasions to demonstrate it was on top of the issues. Instead, they chose a negative tack and avoided addressing the issues, while attempting to create fear of the opponent. It failed.

If one message is clear this election season, it is that Americans are, by and large, sick of negative campaigning. It certainly took out Elizabeth Dole, who, while insisting she was a Christian, took the very un-Christian approach of loudly trying to convince her constituents that her opponent was a "godless athiest". And the voters put Dole out of office.

And before you attack Obama further, you might consider looking at those very experienced people he has surrounded himself with. He doesn't pretend to know everything, which I find refreshing.

No, I voted for a law that would prevent 'revolving door' type justice. There have been dozens of studies showing that when drug offenders are sent to jail, it does nothing but cost the state tens of thousands of dollars in wasted $. They get sent to jail, get out, start using again, and end up back in jail. Nothing is done to actually stop them from doing drugs, just throw 'em in jail and all's well, right?

Addiction counseling and rehabilitation have been shown, through those same dozens of studies, to be hands-down a better way of treating drug offenses. It's better at preventing people from going back to drugs, better and helping them improve their lives, and better at keeping them from becoming repeat offenders. Not to mention is costs many, many times less than multiple jail stints. And I know you're a fan of reducing gov't spending :)

I really don't give a fuck what people do to themselves. Its not like a heroin addiction is a glamorous life. If these people want to die, let them. Take them out of the gene pool. People that go to jail for using drugs is a waste of taxpayer dollars.

Illegally SELLING and DISTRIBUTING contraband should be PUNISHED.
                Property crimes should be PUNISHED.
What is contraband needs to be re-evaluated.
If there is a real, genuine punishment for crimes committed, only the desperate will commit them. Everyone else with half a brain will realized that the benefits do not outweigh the risks.

There isn't a single gun control law in america that should not be in place.

How the hell do any of you broke ass baggypants claim to know shit about what Obama's gonna do or not gonna do?? (same thing for those who claim that McCain would have ruined the country if he won).. If you listened to all the election ads to get your info, you're clueless.

Is all I know is I'll be paying more and getting less.

I doubt that he was elected because he was a black man., That may be only part of the equation. He was elected because he is a unifier, he brings hope, he is not an antagonist. Obama reprsents the newer America, the younger Americans, not the old guard from the Cold War, from VietNam, from the Watergate, from the coke snorking era, from the bad habits of agression and fear. He was also elected thanks to the Republican administration that destroyed America under Bush. So, if Republicans have somebody to put the blame on, well, it's on themselve.

There was not ONE reason not to vote for Obama. Except partisanery.

But that concept has been disproved time and time again. Since when are criminals ever logical? The punishment always outweighs the benefits, yet people commit crimes anyway. It's not a matter of "I wont do x crime because the punishment is too high', it's more like, 'I will do crime x because I wont get caught'. No amount of extreme punishment will stop crime, it's been proven over and over.

Let's look at Texas: They have some of the toughest murder/homicide laws in the country. They execute more people than half the other states combined. Yet they still have one of the highest murder/homicide rates in the nation.

Extreme punishment does not equal less crime. If that were true, America would have a lower homicide rate than all of Europe because we have the death penalty.

This is why the two party system is broken.
He does pretend to know everything. He's just a good enough talker to make you think his doesn't think that.
Only time will tell. But even if Obama falls flat on his face, all the blame will go to Bush.

Yea, Jesse Jackson, Oprah & Colin Powell were crying because they really liked his suit. 92% of blacks voted for him because of his foreign policy stance.

lol did you guys see the reports of Police forces preparing for riots in Philly, Detroit, and all those predominantly black cities in case Mccain won the election. Stating that many blacks would feel they were "cheated" out of the election.

I didnt see any police preparing for riots against the white folks

                                I voted for Mccain

but I would like to see what Obama does. My family is in the Real Estate business so typically that means we always vote Republican. I have nothing against him being black. But if you are going to say black people didnt vote for his ass because he was black. You are just lying to yourself. Especially with police gearing up for riots in case he lost the election. Why would they riot ? Surely not because they dont get those awesoem foreign policies.
