Pretty sure you don't hear any of this stuff on the news. What about freedom? I don't need the government to tell me what I need. We're supposed to have free agency. Childproof guns? Ok then we need to childproof everything that is made for adults. These are playing on fears to pass gun legislation. Hmm how about the other plan of his to not allow guns anywhere near schools? Oh wait, most everyone is within some type of schools boundaries. Guess no one will be allowed to have guns except in remote areas and I'm sure he'll figure something out on those too. He's also going after ammo and to allow frivolous lawsuits against gun manufacturers/owners. Having arms civilians is important, its another one of the checks and balances set up by our fore fathers. All because they lived before we were born doesn't mean they were dumb. All because certain things weren't invented doesn't make those from our past any less intelligent. Community service? The youth don't want to do it. Obama leave people the F alone. Guess what? The youth didn't come out in droves, it was a 1% increase over the previous presidential election. Define what an "assault weapon" is? You cannot impose a ban on such things that people deem their right. Prohibition worked great didn't it? Oh wait no it did not.
