You don't sound like you want to take good advice.
So as a first time rider with no experience here is my suggestion. Sign your RX-7 over to me, buy a Hayabusa, add da NAWS and I'll arrange shipping for the car.
But seriously, a newer bike just means you will take the depreciation hit and you will cry like a little girl when you drop it somewhere and realize it's going to take you $1k to replace the plastics/clip-on/peg on one side, assuming you didn't get the engine case. And yes, you will drop it/low side, etc etc. It's just the rules.
Buy an older bike that already has some scratches so you can focus on learning how to ride instead of freaking out because your $9k baby just did.
Even an older 600, hell even a 600 sport touring like a YZF-600R is going to blow your mind how they fast they are. Unless you've driven a newish supercar, you will not have experience acceleration anything like it before.Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com

What's with all the people saing 600's are to much for a beginner? gixxer 1000 THAT's to much bike for a beginner not a 600.
We are talking about motorcycles that put down nearly as much HP as the M20 powered cars, and more than the M42 powered cars. And look at how many people R3V their cars, now add the same bravado to something with an extreme power to weight ratio and people who think they can ride because they can turn the throttle.Need parts now?
