tsx, new GLI, and a v6 4 door accord.... the accord was 2nd place. they have auto headlights, climate control, speed sensative winshield wipers and a lot of cool stuff...the tsx has all of these...and it also had a cool button you push and you can voice guide the radio and all kinds of stuff...but i think it was only certian modles...but get a tsx over a 4 clynder accord...they are ehhh...idk if you are looking for gas saver? ...also if its not out of the price range have her look at the acura TL its bigger but it has alot of cool stuff also

personally id go with the 2dr 6spd ex v6 accord...try to get her to take a look at it..its a great car

She travels for a living and makes a good amount of money off of mileage so a V6 is out. The TSX still gets 30mpg. The accord would have to be the 4cylinder. It would be a really boring car.

Sounds like the saab is cheap for a reason. I ruled out the VW just because my parents bought a Jetta and like it but it always has some sort of problem.

Yea the TSX's K24 is a pretty nice motor.

Don't dog on Saab's too much, I was born in Linköping where Saab HQ was at one time. They make some BA's planes, I'm not a fan of GM owning Saab though. I'm sure it has taken a toll on the quality.

I know its not up to par with a TSX but its about 10k less expensive. Her parents are kicking in some money as some sort of present and are trying to get her to buy an Murano or Altima. I'm lobbying heavily against it as I hate CVT.

Makes you wonder why they're selling it.

Ha I guess Its almost an american car now so it has american depreciation. Looks like the Camry V6 still gets 29 mpg hwy and has 270 hp. I had no idea the v6 Camry made that much horsepower... kinda shocking to me.

Same motor in the Siennas. Insanely fast minivan, will take 80% of the cars on this board from a dig to 160.

I don't think most people realize just how fast modern cars are. When the Camry does a sub 6 dash to 60, maybe I should sell my e30 and buy a Camry

err maybe I'll just go finish my engine swap

I would stay away from saabs. We have had two 900 turbos and and a 9000. The 900s were ok seeing as they were built before the days of GM ownership. The 9000 we had was an epic pile of shit. I replaced so much stuff in that car and spent so many days tracking down electrical gremlins that I got fed up with it.

New SAABs are just GMs now. I used to have an old '86 900s was awesome.

Buy an old 900, pre 1993. Those are the Saabs that are legendary for their durability. The turbos are fairly quick too! There are some quirky years of course, but generally they are all very solid. Anything since GM took over is kinda sketchy though.

That is no joke, I had a 2008 Sienna as a rental. Holy tire smoking machine (with the TCS turned off). At 20mph, a downshift to 1st lights those front tires and the smoke just starts pouring off.... Unreal.

Plus, it's a nice riding car. I'll be replacing our Passat with one when it comes time.

It really is getting silly, that point a to b commuter cars such as the camry and accord come with 250+hp and still get better mileage then our eta's... Damn technology, I just wish I could have the engine improvements without the giant cars they come in..

I had the same amount of fun when I rented one last summer. It hit 127 mph on a desert highway in eastern Oregon, I couldn't believe it.

I miss the days when Saab put their engines in backwards.
