Saturn used to have the Ion Red Line, with a supercharged EcoTec 2.2L engine, up until 2007. The void left by the Ion was filled by the Astra, sort of like how the void between your legs was filled by my turgid ten inches of man meat.
    -OVULATOR (as named by jflip2002)

Past Cars: Schwarz 1990 325i-2 (crashed), Calypsorot 1991 325i-2 Sport (rear ended)
    Now: Blake-stitched mediocrity :(

Optimator, you make a very poor impersonation of Blunt. You should take courses from him or submit to him, in order to learn a bit more about how to use "bad" words.
I've got a better question, what kid would want to be seen in a Pontiac?

Agreed...And what about the Cobalt? It's supposed to be the "sporty" small car, badge it as a g5 or whatever it is, and bam, it's a lame economy car(not that it wasn't already)

Keep in mind I'm talking about what they think, I think Cobalts are trash.

I'm sick of trying to talk about what GM needs to do, it's fairly obvious that they are essentially trying to trick their buyers, instead of building something people want.

the opel astra is a pontiac /chevy cobalt-- with even worse plasticness(is that a word) than all the FORDS in the world put together!!
OPEL is the biggest junk around!!! please, just wait till it gets there!!! hahahhahahahaa

Chevy knows why its not going to label it as a Chevy-- they have tarnished thier name enough---- maybe they will sell it through BUICK like the OPEL GT back in the days--- that was also a real piece of crap too.

there is nothing goood about that car! period............................................ ........................

I'd glady take this Pontiac and wipe that shit-eating grin off all of the little waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffless driving around their STi's that Mommy and Daddy bought them...

I wouldn't, the STi and Evo would still win around the track.

But I do love G8s, and actually I might take one over the aforementioned, just because it's not so common.

And still be gayer than 8 guys blowing 9 guys. I hate STi's. Evo's are ok.

Why? You hate the image or the car? I personally love subarus; just not most of the people driving them. I could say the same for BMW though.

And back on topic, isn't saturn owned by GM or am I wrong?

Because they're effing EVERYWHERE. And 9 times out of 10, the little fucker driving it doesn't even know how to drive. They just stick that big-ass angled JDM exhaust under it, move the intercooler from the top of the engine to the front, plaster it with a bunch of stickers of whatever Subaru tuning company they like, and call it a day. And I get so damn sick of the AWD god complex that comes with all these little douchebags. I'm just utterly sick and tired of WRX's and STi's. Period.

You want to know what Subarus impress me? The guy at my local autocross with the 92 Legacy Turbo with an STi engine swap and a 6 speed. Or the guy a couple hours from me with a legit JDM Impreza 22b. Or the guy I know in Portland with an '89 Legacy wagon who did a 5 lug swap, has the full OEM body kit from the coupe of the same year, and is putting an crate H6 3.0 with a turbo in it.

I feel you, but I still wouldn't kick one out of bed (unless it wanted to fuck on the floor). Actually I'd really just like to have a regular 2.0 turbo wagon. Good mileage and I can still go snowboarding in it.

                              138 hp, no thanks.

+1 for the g8, sucks the GXP G8 or whatever the fast g8 is supposed to cost 40k, for that price you can have a new 3 series.
