Merry belated Christmas! I had the ever popular practical Christmas. New pillows, some lounging clothes, a J.A. Henkles set of knives, some cash, and a NDS lite with the cooking trainer game. Gifts to myself were two cam sensors, a mass air meter, new roundels, belts, air filter, and carsoft 6.5 for the 540.

I got a new baller foreman grill that I wanted, that should make life easier. The typical Philadelphia Eagles stuff, along with a couple Chipotle gift cards. GF got a pink Vaio, and other girly shit. The car i got my nephew made the bigget splash, though. Overall, a nice christmas.

I was stoked as hell when I opened our new one. We just have little tiny one, now we have the biggest one they make. So fucking awesome, cooking is so damn easy on these things. And there's no mess and hardly any cleanup, you just wipe it off when it cools off.

Basically, my septum (wall in my heart separating left ventricle from right atrium) has doubled in size. The normal thickness is 10mm and im a little over 20mm. It basically means that because of the abnormal growth in cardiac tissue my heart will start to become arrhythmic and will eventuall cause me to go into atrial fibrillation. Normally they could implant a defibrillator in my chest, but because I'm 23 and the rapid rate of growth, the tissue is too unstable to do that. If i make it to 30, then they can do the implant due to that being the typical age that cardiac tissue is stable. But its not looking too good because all this growth has occured over only 2 years. And i have it due to a fluke of genetics. I run triathlons, don't smoke, all that shit and of all things my heart is gonna get me. Pretty shitty Christmas actually...

Gosh - I'm really sorry to hear about this - I don't know what to say really. When I hear something as serious as this, all other things about the holidays seem so insignificant. You know there's a lot of us here at R3V supporting you. I'll keep a good thought and you just stay as positive as you can. Modern medical science can work wonders.....I hope you get to benefit from it. It sucks this has happened given your active lifestyle and being mindful about your health. Life can seem so unfair sometimes.

As for my Christmas, the economy has been hurting a few folks in my family so there wasn't a lot of gift giving this year. My nieces and nephews (ages range from 1.5 years to 11) got lots of things, but I didn't receive any gifts which is ok with me. I got to spend time with my family and close friends and that's what matters most in my book. The one gift I got for myself was a new job which starts on the 29th. These last couple years have been a struggle in the way of steady work for me. I'm glad I finally have something with genuine long-term prospects and opportunity for advancement.
