    Military

I know some of you are military and I ask you to join in the conversation.

I am curious. How many of you do not like the military in general? I am not looking for hate posts, just a general overview of why.

I am in and notice alot of civilians do not fully understand what goes on "Over there" and I am willing to answer questions on that as well.

This is probably retarded, but just something that crossed my mind from typical BMW owners.

They tend to be more liberal in a sense. Just want some convo about it.

Not in yet, need to finish up school first then I am going. Little Sis just got back from Afghan land, and several other family members have been over to afghan/iraq..as well as good friends. My buddy just finished up OCS for USMC, mad parties have been had since he has gotten home.

Our troops have my support, and if i catch anyone flippin them shit when I am around. Ill gladly knock the fucker out for the soldier(s).

My sis was at PDX in uniform, her first time back from afghan, and she was called a baby killer...sadly I was not there for that :( :( :(

I was coming back on base one day and saw some protesters outside the gate one day. It got my fire going. They were non-violent. I agree with freedom of speech and everyone has their right. Would they protest a firefighter? Policeman?

The NW is a shite place to be in uniform no matter the branch or service... I wish I would have known about the recruiting station getting blocked downtown PDX to the army station. Man I would have loved to have just walked up to those guys and have one of them touch me... I know I sound like a net tough guy, but damit that shit pisses me off.

I prolly would have gone to jail, but you know what...it would have been worth it. :D

But then again, if they touched me first...self defense :D hehehehe.

Sorry you had to see/hear that BS.

Its one of those things you have to put up with. When I was in Germany, the same thing happened. But its understandable there, I suppose.

If someone assaults me for being in uniform, I usually carry a 6 cell maglite and some cuffs. hhahahaha

Again, not trying to troll, or turn this into a hate thread. Trying to keep it civilized.

I think BMW owners are more conservative in general.

I was at the Mariners game in Seattle a while back and my friend was home from Iraq (his second tour thus far). After the game when came outside and there was this loser ass protester. He was saying a bunch of offense stuff. My army buddy confronted him and asked him to stop. The guy noticed the 4 bracelets on my friends wrists for his fallen buddies and told him that his friends died for nothing and wasted their lives (amongst other really disgusting shit). My friend wanted to kill the guy and if we hand pinned him down he would have. I hate protesting losers like that. Leave me alone and just go blog somewhere.

Seattle is full of people like that.

Well, posterity, you will never know what it cost us to preserve your freedom. I only hope that you will make a good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in heaven that I ever took half the pains to preserve it.

so is pdx and it sucks. I still cant believe my sis, a combat medic that also worked at the only civillian hospitol in afghanistan who helped children on a daily basis as well as went on convoys, was called a baby killer.

So many things I could list of the problems she faced while over there...moral and what not of dealing with the taliban.

Ignorant people, small minded people are the ones that actually believe world wide peace is possible.

u know, there are a lot of us in the PNW that see it differently, and by that i mean we support all you do and count our blessings.

it's the fuckups that get the news time in seattle, olympia and pdx. if we're ever attacked at home, we'll see how they react to those in uniform. i'm guessing they'd be greatful, and their "principled" ant-war, anti-military attitudes would evaporate pretty quickly. i wonder if they'd pick up a gun if needed?

That's effed up...go protest in front of the whitehouse, dumbasses...

This place is like catholic school, 2/3 of the students smoke weed on a daily basis, but the faculty seems to convince the outside world that drugs are just in the other schools, the resident pot dealer thinks he's cool because he has the originality to call anyone he doesn't like a homosexual, and most of the little children follow him like sheep, then there's the few with brains, you hardly ever hear from them, perhaps don't even know they exist, but they get all the sh!t done.

Ive often wondered the same thing...it sounds messed up but in a lot of ways I wish the West coast would get hit by something...snap these people up to the reality of the real world.

What about congress? What about the others that voted to go to war and then changed those votes later? Don't blame it all on one man.

You can not like the president, thats fine. Everyone is entitled to those opinions. Just don't try and put the blame on one man.

I feel bad for my brothers who get harrassed by protestors.

As an American Society, things change, but not following through with something, or having the stomach to continue what you started just shows you how pussified our nation is becoming.

That wasn't aimed at just one man, I'm not a fan of the way Iraq was handled, but it really pisses me off when protesters go after the military personnel who are not the ones making the decisions.

You guys keep on doing what you are for this country. There are plenty that appreciate all that you are doing and sacrificing for this country. And thank you for it too, without your service to this country we would not be this great nation without it...
