I don't have an issue with people needing unemployment for a few months in order to keep food on the table, but I do have issues with well fare.

Obama publicly already acknowledged that changes will not happen overnight, and that the US is so deep in shit, that it will take two years to start feeling the changes. The immediate change that we can feel though, is that people were less depressed, knowing that Obama was in, and Bush was out. Obama's pragmatic approach to solving problems will be much more efficient than Bush's manichean and binary thinking. Good/Evil. With me/against me. Us/Them. Wow. When I (we) watch TV coverage of what is going on in the US, I (we) can notice/feel that people were less depressed. I (we) can also feel that people in Gaza were very depressed. No need to be a Palestinian to notice it. No need to be an American to notice that you guys are depressed..

If you feel unsecure because somebody takes note of the current US political landscape from outside the US, well, you're in big shit, because the whole world will notice something is changing. And the whole world we say "we can feel a change".
