That's flat out dumb on your classmates part. What people don't understand is that there are a TON of uneducated voters in this country and all they understand is color. It goes both ways though I'm sure. Some people voted for McCain because he's white and some people voted for Obama because he's black. Strangely enough, I feel no less "free" today, Obama's first full day in office, than I did yesterday or the day before. About the only freedom I think I've lost is the right to carry a bottle of water past the security checkpoint at the airport. Well, that and being able to go to the gate to meet anyone I might be picking up at the airport. If those are Bush's fault, I'm okay with that.
