He's done if he chooses to retire.
You're possibly the only person who watched the game with that opinion.
He's done because he threw 3 TD's, 1 INT, 377 yards against the #1 Defense in the league that hadn't allowed a single 300 yard passing game all year and only 4 - 200 yard passing games?
Explain your logic please.
Warner threw the pick that resulted in a PIT TD, but there were still 30 minutes of football left which Warner brought his team back and went ahead.
The Cards Defense failed to hold PIT with a minute to go.
Want to blame someone, blame # 47 on the Cards D who slipped and gave up a big play, then got beat for the game-winning TD pass.
But to blame the guy that had the best passing game of the season and possibly in a few years against Pittsburgh defies logic.
Why anyone would make such a claim is ridiculous.Last edited by E30 Cabrio; 02-01-2009, 09:33 PM.sigpic

I thought he was washed up a few years ago. He made a good resurgence. But proved he really is washed up. He was their weak link today. The Arizona defense held the Steelers to a whopping 20 points. 10 of which were in the begining of the 1st quarter.
He was acting like the Steelers were all over him every play. When he had many plays he had time to look, he got rid of it way too early.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

He proved he was washed up by posting a 112.25 QB rating against the #1 Defense in the league, throwing for 3 TD's, 1 INT and 377 yards and with no running game.I thought he was washed up a few years ago. Like I said, you can have all the stats you like....he made the big mistake that lost the game (a rookie one at that). The defense held the Steelers to 20 points. Warner couldn't deliver the ball much of the time because he was too afaid of ghosts.
He didn't even throw the ball longer than 10 yards till the 4th quarter. And Fitz didn't see a ball till the 3rd quarter...and they showed him open in the first half more than once.
He (Warner) was the weak link.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Shut the fuck up please. Really... Go... He was far from their weak link. Stats have been posted, and he had an awesome game. They had 33 rushing yards, and the rest was Warner. So its clear what their weak link is. You keep sounding more and more, like you know less and less about football. I dont particularly like Warner... at all. But he played VERY well for the most part.I thought he was washed up a few years ago. He made a good resurgence. But proved he really is washed up. He was their weak link today. Another stat:
414 Kurt Warner, St. Louis vs. Tennessee, XXXIV
377 Kurt Warner, Arizona Vs. Pittsburgh, XLIII
365 Kurt Warner, St. Louis vs. New England, XXXVI
357 Joe Montana, San Francisco vs. Cincinnati, XXIII
Donovan McNabb, Philadelphia vs. New England, XXXIX (FUUUUUCK YEAH DONOVAN!)
Second most yards in Superbowl History.
One more: Career QB rating in Superbowl History
127.8 Joe Montana, San Francisco, 4 games
122.8 Jim Plunkett, Oakland-L.A. Raiders, 2 games
112.8 Terry Bradshaw, Pittsburgh, 4 games
Kurt Warner was 112.3 today
But you know......Hes the weak link.Originally posted by blunti would jerk larry king off while tonging jflips ass if h0lmes would blow his head offComment

They didnt throw it deep, because the safeties were playing DEEP. He didnt try to force anything down field. Its evident all the arguments and stats in the world will not overcome the ignorance here.Originally posted by blunti would jerk larry king off while tonging jflips ass if h0lmes would blow his head offComment

Yes 112.3 because he was too scared to throw it any deeper than 10 yards. Thus the high percentage.
WRONG! You mean like where he threw it to Fitz about 20 yards down field in the 4th quarter (64 yarder thanks to Fitz)....the safteys were playing back at that point. And just because the safteys play back doesn't mean you can't throw past 10 yards. As that play showed.
He scared himself too much to throw any further till the 4th quarter. Rookie stuff there.
And his mistake alone was the difference in them winning or not.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Okay jflip and I don't see eye to eye on pretty much anything, but in this case I am 100% in agreeance with what he said above. I dislike certain teams for certain reasons, but on pretty much any team there is a player (or players) that I admire and who I think deserves a ring. In this case I am not particularly fond of the Cardinals (they are in my teams division [however shitty the NFC west has been lately] so I rooted for them in the playoffs and the superbowl). So because they lost, hes done? He got them up by 3 points, and the defense couldnt hold. It had NOTHING to do with Warner. If he doesnt come back next year, AZ doesnt make the playoffs. Tom Brady needs to call it quits then, because he lost the big game last year. Every QB who didnt get this far needs to call it quits also.
As for this game, I really don't think it failed to prove anything to us that we didn't already know. We knew Kurt Warner would throw to Fitzgerald for 100+ yards and at least a touchdown. We also knew that Pittsburg's defense would be the difference in this game; if they made big plays they would win. All season long Pittsburg won huge games because of their defense.
Despite the fact that I'm a Seahawks fan (and I hate the steelere because of Super Bowl XL), I really have to give respect to the Steelers. They won because of defense, and they had the best defense that I have seen in my lifetime.
I thought it was a great game. I wish the Cards would have won, but whatever.

It was that simple, right? Just all of a sudden he decided, "Hey, Im gonna throw deep". NO. It was an excellent designed play. The safeties were playing deep, and it was a shorter route. The safeties looked to be focused on Boldin or Breaston, running that out route. There was a huge gap up the middle, and they took advantage of it. They started exploiting those deep safeties in general towards the end, like on that Arrington play.WRONG! You mean like where he threw it to Fitz about 20 yards down field in the 4th quarter (64 yarder thanks to Fitz)....the safteys were playing back at that point. And just because the safteys play back doesn't mean you can't throw past 10 yards. As that play showed.

I dont get the one play you are saying blew the game. You are referring to the Harrison interception?
1) It was a bad throw, on an awesome defensive play
2) NO ONE can tackle that motherfucker? People had their chances.
3) Arizona was up late in the game, and their defense couldnt get it done. Warner got them up, and did what he could.Originally posted by blunti would jerk larry king off while tonging jflips ass if h0lmes would blow his head offComment
