    USA's Continued Economic Suicide.

You all know the story. everyone has said it "Don't send your dollars out of the country" but when it comes right down to it Americans don't give a damn about the guy in the next town that lost his job.

Go ahead and flame me, call it protectionism. When you finally get your degree I hope that job at Circle K works out for you. Bottom line Buy "Made in the USA"

I am entirely with you on this subject. Protectionism would be if foreign suppliers would be kept out of a purchase offer, or if foreign products were taxed. It is up to the Americans to take the decision of buying local. Not many realize that the $50 they saved when buying a Chinese-made TV maybe costs $100 in US social services and support to local workers out of a job.

So, who will stop going to Walmart?

The government should be giving companies bringing jobs into the US a huge break on taxes.

I just love how our governemnt is throwing money at the problem without really thinking where it's going and how it's going to fix the problem.

The problem is not production. The problem is at the buying decision level. People must understand they should purchase products with the little stars'n'stripes flag on the packaging. It wouldn't take a big advertizing campaign fpr people to get it.

i dont know the exact numbers but they filed for like 30k visas to bring in foreign workers at an average salary of 90k. fact is they are probably better employees than spoiled lazy americans with "entitlement syndrome" but it just doesnt seem right

Leave it to a Canadian to give advise about buying products made in the USA, when 70%+ of his customer base is in the US. And his are Made in Canada. So does the savings on your kits cause the National Debt to go up?

I would not buy from him if he had a part I needed for 99% off.

This thread has really got me thinking, remember back in the 80's when all the autoworkers were anti-Import cars, and there were flags on everything, people were proud of what had come from their hard work and the land they pridefully called home. We need to get back to that. An insane level of US pride, leaps and bounds stronger than all the Mexico flags being waived by legal, and, illegal immigrants at sporting events, on their cars, etc.

Remember when stuff didn't break when you took it out of the package, tools didn't snap when removing bolts, cars didn't squeak over bumps, people weren't fat, lazy, and stupid.

I need to go back in time 20 years, and try this again. I know I did my part to fuck this place up, what about you?

I'd love to. Have you tried to do this recently though? It's damn near impossible. So many jobs have been sent out of the country because it's cheaper that there simply isn't any local production anymore. I'll buy US made when possible but most of the time I just get a choice of products made in China, Korea, or Vietnam...

That would be very short sighted as an average 65% of what you pay in a kit comes from California and is therefore made in the US. Maybe it is time you sell your BMW and buy a Neon

I'd like to say it's US pride but mostly I think he is an ass.
