Steel rod with an antique crystal doorknob for a shift knob. Probably going to make some kind of boot extension to cover the welded nut, but for now, it's fun as shit to drive around with. People next to me were cracking up laughing on the way back home after we made it.

When in 3rd (top of the shift pattern), the top of my hand is about an inch under my rear view mirror. It's so badass. I might see if I can find a big brass fist to put on top of it, like the top of Biff's cane in BTTF. Thinking about doing a grenade, also. And maybe a big chrome skull. Variety in shift knobs will make it even more fun.
