Windows XP SP3

I am currently running Windows XP Pro with Service Pak 2 and from time to time my updates reminder says I should download Service Pak 3. My question to you tech gurus of R3V, is this download advisable or is it an invitation for headaches just like the early days of XP when Service Pak upgrades which were downloaded over the Net wasn't as good as getting it from a CD.

I would get it. it's definitely an improvement as far as boot time and stability.

No problems here with XP sp3 either. One system has had it for a few weeks now and I just updated the other sytem the other night. Go for it...

all my computers run it, along with every workstation at work. no problems thus far. been running since a week or so before xmas

Been out since before Vista was released I'm pretty sure. I haven't had any problems with it.

Go for it, I remotely pushed it to over 100 workstations overnight and not one had a problem.

yes, sp3 is better than sp2.
