Anyone else share in this simple pleasure?

I live in a college town and rotate a parking space with a roomie so I have to park on the street half the time and spots are hard to come by.

Every once in awhile while cruising for a spot I'll spot a space on the small side at the same time as someone else and they'll happen to get there first. Usually a jetta full of sorority girls or something. So I'll patiently stop behind them, turn off my car and wait for 2 or 3 minutes while they try and get in the space, they'll get frustrated and a passenger will get out or something and try and guide them, but finally they'll wind up taking off and I'll take the space with a huge shit-eating grin on my face. It's a simple pleasure.

i hate it when you find a parking spot and you turn around so you can parallel park into it, and some fuck takes it like 10 seconds before you.

people not knowing how to properly drive their car scares me when my car is sitting on the side of the street. ive seen some shittttttty parking jobs by some people ie half the car on the curb, parked diagonally, etc. my car is gonna get scratched/dinged one of these days...

That's why I like diving boards. :D I'm pretty fearless when I'm parking, I'll park by ear if I have to and the surrounding cars are sufficiently crappy.

Good reason to tuck the bumpers I guess. ;)

I have a 2 5/16 weight distributing camper hitch that sticks out a ways I like to leave in on my truck. Its my park distance device, I just keep backing up till I see the car behind me wiggle a little then I pull ahead. it also helps keep the tailgates back a bit while in traffic

I posted this pic in the cell phone picture thread, but I just saw this parking job the other night:

The accord was sticking out almost into the middle of the street and its rear end was noticeably indented into the E36. Car was turned off, parked, left for the night. :hitler: Some people should not be on the road.
