That's cool. It'd be nice to know someone around here who had something like that.
My friends and I always just use a wooden dinghy and attach one of those 5 hp electric motors to the back. shitty, but it does the job.

Yeah, I'd be down. I have no car to go to Northstar this weekend, but I'm going to Shasta with some homies.

thx, its a pig to pull around sometimes. nothing shitty about a small boat---they dont burn any gas. Ive got a 16ft jon boat that serves well too, better that feeding that 225 on the back of my big boat.

Fishing is wrong. And they're sea kittens dammit!

My dad and I take little boat out to a semi-local lake and waste a day away fishing. Those usually days when he knows mom is going to be batty ahead of time so it gets him out of the house. Aside from food and sport, fishing is damn good for "getting away."

I REALLLLY want to do some camping/backpacking fishing this summer in the Adirondacks. There are so many lakes that you can't get a car close to that are barely touched each season. I have to get some new gear though before i go out. Because as of now i suck shit cumming dick nipples at fishing.

Ive fished my whole life. My pops was a commercial fisherman in New bedford mass for 30 years until he passed away. I was 7-8 years old with a cooler on wheels filled to the brim with lobster, walking into the local bars at the docks selling 2-3 pounders for 5-10$ a pop.

Now I live in the sport-fish capital, and we go for all kinds of stuff just for fun. The latest was a 55" Amberjack, I caught on a wreck off of ft lauderdale.

I've got some buddies that took a pirogue out to the gulf by Grand Isle, LA. Somehow they managed to make it like a mile into the gulf. They had fun trying to get back to shore. Haha

But they did manage to catch a couple of fish before they realized how far out they had managed to get.

I plan on getting into it. Im only a few blocks from the Pier in Pismo Beach. I dont plan on working until my unemployment runs out. So I should have plenty of time to learn how to fish effectively.

I'm pretty into it...haven't gone really since I moved up here...those of you around northern CA, I can set you up with a million nice spots...salmon, trout, catfish, bass, anything. I used to fish Berryessa every couple of weeks. It's not that hot compared to many other spots around there but my dad was really attached to it.

I know 2 really hot salmon spots, one in Oroville, one in Sacramento. I caught a 52 lb'er in Sac a while back...they tend to be larger ( 20+ avg) but more beat up there, while
in Oroville they are SUPER clean, fight HARD but avg probably closer to 15 lbs.

Catfish and bass, it's VERY hard to beat Clear Lake, mostly from a boat. I've caught cats up to 21 lbs, bass up to 8 from the bank though.

Planter trout, check out uhm...Collins Lake, east of Marysville. They plant some huge trout in there, many over 10 lbs.

Lake Davis was always a favorite, but it's gone way downhill since the pike showed up.

I know a private lake in Chico that is FULL of small bass, you can literally catch 100+ in an evening, we fly-fished a lot there.

                            It goes on and on.

I miss it, anyone up around Seattle want to go fishing? lol

Whats the saltwater fishing like on the west coast? Ive been out there a few times, (SD, up to santa rosa) but never got to get out on the ocean. Still something Id love to do when my son gets old enough.
