Official e30tech Registration Thread

Nicely put, and I have learnt lots from this forum, to say that it is a joke is pure ignorance. While yes we joke around we still help each other out, and are given our right to freedom of speech.

Of all the forums I am on this is by far the most fun community I am with. Not to mention that there is a good source of knowledge on here. Maybe not in the abundance of forums but it is still here.


Whats going on at E30tech sounds like it is going down hill or did I just read it wrong?

E30Tech is just going through some management things. The place needs Chris to come back.

afaik there are 2 members and at least 1 moderator on e30tech who are actively compiling a list of people (usernames) that are 'real' people and need to be activated (for free, not the paid part )

i have recently seen a member here and added their username to this list, and atm only 1 person can add users, to where they can post (as James stated, its Chris).

the more forums, the better.

if any boards are dying, its unofficialbmw
which is a grand place of info when you hit its 'home, landing, or page 1' button.


and there is a thread on e30 tech for unregistered user requests too.

That was me deleting *as stated above* a 10,000+ line post that just said sup.

I don't delete posts because I don't agree with the statement, don't worry about that.

I only locked the thread because the "sup" post was locking up the thread from loading to where i could not delete that post to keep it open.

I would rather keep it open so people would have a place to post asking for activation on e30 tech.

I had to delete it from the database directly as I could not get a browser to not freeze.

I used both sites. More so R3v nowadays.

When I first started I used both equally, then I saw the structure started to fall apart at tech and it kinda just died to 1-2 posts a day on the entire forum. It was quite slow. R3v was still up and going with many people posting knowledge or funnies. When I switched over to being on R3v more was when I noticed a few features on R3v that made it easier to navigate.

I use r3v as an answer to all my e30 technical inquiries and as a means to have fun and say what's on my mind. I appreciate the awesome atmosphere this place has and I totally embrace all the oddball characters we have on here. Keep up the sweet ass job you've been doing here James. Viva la R3v! LOL

As was mentioned, I was referring to a post that was an enormous copy/paste campaign that crashed most people's computers, posted by a user with the sole purpose of nothing other than to annoy everyone else, NOT to be humorous.

Of the two forums, it seems to me that E30tech is the one that has a harder time with the humor style that we have over here on r3v, and if anyone has a "bleeding vagina", as you put it, it would be e3t people posting stuff like you did over here on r3v. As James mentioned, I am just speaking for myself here, I don't want to put words in James's mouth.

I liked e30 tech until I found r3v. I never got to post over there because I was never activated until like a year after I registered. I usually only go there if a Google search pops a link to it up. There are some very good writeups there though, like disassembling an LSD.

IMO, e30 tech is good as an info source, kinda like Wikipedia, but for a question that needs answered, r3v excels. Plus too, r3v is mah friendz.

I stopped going to E30tech when chris went on his big powertrip just before disappearing completely and started deleting posts and banning users that spoke up with ideas that he didn't like...motherfucker actually PM'd me about speaking up for the rights of others to voice their opinions (remember that shit, TwoJs and AC Nico?)
