the iPhone can multitask quite easlily--ask any one who has jailbroke and used backrounder. They just keep it disabled so when time come to update the software all they need to do is change code.

I have had a first gen iphone since they came out and it has served me pretty well. Hasn't broken like so many other iphones, and I treat it pretty rough. I am on borrowed time I guess. I'm just hoping it lasts until the summer so I can get a new phone, possibly an htc evo.

Need to upgrade badly, I'm on 4.3 or something.
Can anyone recommend a good way to backup everything including cydia, so I don't have to go through each installation after I upgrade and JB?
Also found a cool program called Forecast that tells you what version you're on and what you can upgrade to, for all devices. Nifty thing.Comment

so i'm considering on gettin an Iphone 4s for a great deal. I'm done with android since I need a phone that's reliable and straight forward now.
anyway, I'm aware of the iphone's unique antenna design and how it degrades if you use a metal bumper/case as a protectant. However, does this apply to the softwer plastic or silicon cases too? any input would be great before my purchaseComment

I was having a tough time deciding as well between iPhone 5 and Droid Razr M (on Verizon Wireless). (I don't want anything bigger than an iphone 4/5) I think the [iPhones] display is far superior to ALMOST everything else out there, but the $150 price difference spoke more to my desires, along with getting free tethering, which my unlimited plan does not support. Honestly I really did not look into free tethering via jailbreaking iOS6. Thoughts?
I still prefer typing on the iOS devices, even though many claim Jelly Beans 4.2 swype style keyboard is superior. Integration with iTunes would have been a plus too, but I don't remove one of my iPods from my car, which is its sole use, and plugging it in/out is a pain. I keep thinking I will switch from Android....
Now if Apple had a slide out keyboard like the Motorola Droid series, I would be sold in a heartbeat. Thoughts on the Razr M right now: great device overall, the styling is fine, nothing luxurious like Apple devices, performance is right on with the iPhone 5, battery life is better, screen is terrible in sunlight as have been with my past Droid 1 and 3.
I did keep my unlimited data plan though ;-) And if I could get an updated Blackberry Pearl I would drool.Last edited by R3Z3N; 03-17-2013, 09:52 PM.

i have iphone 5 , its the first iphone i ever owned, i had Blackberrys before. I love this iphone. so easy to use, and i love the imessage, my only beef with it so far is that imessage transfers are limited to pics, and vids, I wish i could send mp3' over imessage. I know there is a way but not for free. !!!
The background noise reduction is sick when talking on phone compared to my previous devices. Anyways im still learning the "apple" way!my build here ---> http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/show...ht=lemans+blueComment

I picked up an iPhone 5 the other day. Got it at Radio Shack, traded in my iPhone 4, ended up paying $35 for the 5. Needed to buy all new cables and chargers and shit for all of my cars though, since they use the Lightning cables now, which was another almost $100.
I really like it so far. It's very fast, the camera quality is great, and LTE is awesome when I am in range. I put an Otterbox Defender on it right away. The iPhone 5 Defender is SO much better then the iPhone 4 Defender, it's well worth the $50 you pay in stores (or $35 on amazon).Comment
