If lucky, the E36 will die peacefully, in its natural habitat, and be given the prestigious honor of donating its parts to an E30

Yep same here. Even the cop that parks at Pick-n-Pull has a BMW bike. Cool bikes and a huge improvement over the Harley's.

Ditto out here in California. Specifically, they're using the R 1150 RT-P.

Same in Poland - switching from hondas to BMWs. And they stay undercover too! Cops just don't play fair.

My old dealership supplied the bikes for the filming of "The Taking of Pelham 123" a new Denzel washington movie

the R1200RTPS are awesome but the ones we set up for them were super fucking cool, race tires, speacial lighting, camer rigs

Such a waste of money.. What happens if the person decides to run, are you gonna fish tail them with your bike? What if they go off the road? These are basically just toys for cops to have fun with, if there's actually a serious chase a bike isn't going to do shit.

What are you suggesting, that they drive Hummers instead?

I've never ridden a bike but from what I've heard BMW is the top manufacturer in comfort/feel, so I'm not surprised they're upgrading.

One of the many rinky dink towns in Louisiana is getting a couple of the R1200's. My buddy was told he is going to be the first one with one since he has the most bike experience there. I told him I was going to come to his apartment in the middle of the night and steal it from him.

I like that they are riding motorcycles in my town. I can run them over more easily and they are using less fuel.

They've had BMW's here for several years now. I've been pulled over by one (I wasn't driving though). They are sneaky as they can hide in tiny places and radar where cars can't. In the summer, there is almost more bikes out than cars. We also have several bicycle cops in the summer as well to patrol downtown.

Bingo! This is the only reason cops use motorcycles. They can write alot more tickets because they are hard to spot.
