    A few observations:
UUC sold my friend a "tested- ran great before we pulled it" S50 for his E34 wagon. He and I busted ass for 12 hours straight swapping that motor out. It smoked like a chimney and left an oil slick on the back of his car from the first time we fired it up. It had a broken ring land on the #1 piston. Spent another 8 hours swapping in an S52 a few weeks later. I want my freaking time back!
My brother's shop will no longer deal with UUC because the QC is shit and there were constant fitment issues that caused problems with getting cars back to the customers.
Though Clay at Bimmerworld is no longer a friend of the family (unless they worked out their differences and didn't mention it to me,) I would not pull that dick move on him, nor do business with anyone that would pull that crap. For shame, Rob.
My M5 came with a UUC shifter, and I did just win a used UUC lightweight flywheel super cheap on ebay from someone else, but I'll be damned if I ever sport any of their gear (apart from that) on any of my cars.

If BF.c isn't getting a cut of the action then you cannot sell your products on there if you're a business. They are really anal about that kind of stuff. They really do cater to their sponsors. I've seen it happen plenty of times.

That doesn't appear to be an issue in this circumstance, as Lee was just throwing out information to the people who mentioned his components. He wasn't trying to make a sale from what I understand.

As one of the more active bimmerforums members, I can definitely speak from experience.

          A) The moderators (some, not all) get away with far too much. For instance, I'm serving a 1-week ban right now because I called a moderator a hypocrite. Why?
Person A makes a thread, saying "Thank you XXXX for coming out to the event, etc etc".
Mod says "There are PMs for a reason" and locks the thread. Hours later the same mod makes a "happy birthday Shawn" thread.
Person B quotes Mod's post from Person A's thread about PMs.
Mod bans person B for a week just for that. Totally unacceptable and ridiculous. Person B simply posted the quote followed by ":)". Nothing more- nothing rude, nothing mocking..
I posted up and called the mod a hypocrite and now Im banned for a week.

It's out of hand over there.

          B) Vendors have their way with their sections. 'Nuff said. If X is a sponsor of a section, it's pretty much their rules, their way. A lot of the vendors throw a fit if other people start interfering with their sales, which is understandable, seeing as they're paying for the privilege to have exclusivity.

BF.c OT is starting to tear itself apart after some mods were blatantly seen to be enforcing a double standard and more than a few members calling them out on the issue.

Unrelated to Lee's, but still interesting.

BTW I totally understand that the owner(s) of BFc are there for the money. It is a pretty understandable situation. They work hard, and therefore want a return on their sweat. But I guess the way it is done is not working. At the end, the forum feels more like a stinky whorehouse than a gentleman club where friends meet. Currently, it seems that if a company sponsors a section, then no mention of any other product is allowed. So, what is the value of the info then. And how credible are the persons pushing it?

Handsome Rob has made the clear proof that if he can't put a good product on the market, he might as well try to limit the exposure of competitors' kits, even if it comes from satisfied users. It's pretty unacceptable that even some members' posts and pictures were deleted. What resulted though is that Rob discredited himself and his company. And he did a geat job, this time...
Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

Rob is bad, but not as bad as Marco from AA. That fucker has a post in any thread dealing with FI. Active blowers are garbage compared to Vortech, and there are waaaaayyyyy too many issues with their tunes for even NA cars.

Isn't Stuck having issues with his blower kit and the AA tune? Something about not being able to hold an idle.

                              It was lame.
