Given how easy it is to get a card, I'd say it's effectively legal already.

Not to mention that something like 70% percent of Americans have admitted to doing it including past presidents. Obama has even admitted to doing it and even though it was along time ago George Washington used to grow it..

Lol. It is true though these are facts. Was off on my number a lil bit.
While 38% of U.S. adults admit they've tried marijuana, a much smaller percentage, 7%, say they currently smoke it. Fewer young adults have tried it today compared with in the 1970s and 1980s.

While we’re really sure about the last three presidents’ history of pot smoking, the historical record is unclear about some of the rest. Here’s a look at the

first off, 972 adults isn't a very big population.
second, you posted an article from high-times.

I will say this though. Since I'm a regular user for casual and medicinal use, I smoke it all the time. I reap the benefits physically but I've found myself to unnaturally crave it. I don't have an addictive personality but I'm mentally addicted to this shit. I NEED it after work, I NEED it to enjoy nature and ultimately I NEED it to have fun. That stuff mentioned is fun to when high but the point is I shouldn't need to.

From the side effects of the prescription and marijuana medication, I've lost any idea of self identity. I have no clue what kind of man I am without all of this and for the most part I never will.

Actually if you have ever taken a statistics class you would know 972 is a pretty large sample. If I remember correctly a sample to represent the United States only needs to be 1500 people. However this is only true if the people were chosen correctly and is 100% random sample with no bias.

I don't smoke, but I live in an area where, be it federally illegal, the economy is dependent on it.

My employer, a beer distributor, sees a large growth in sales during the summer in the outlying areas, where people are working on outdoor grows. In the winter, these people come back and with a significant amount of disposable income. So we see sales spike in town during the off season. If it were to be legalized federally, the price would plummet, sending a lot of these growers, who put a lot of the money back into the local economy, out of business.

For the record, I don't smoke, I have, but I choose not to. The possibility of legalization has directly influenced whether or not my girlfriend and I want to buy a house, or continue renting.
