All I know is I never would have bought coke from my weed guy if I could have purchased marijuana at CVS.

Agreed. You get what you pay for (and get paid for) in TN. I lived in Nashville for two years and it was so-so. It snowed both winters and the summers were more humid than anything Ive ever experienced in California (born and raised). One year an ice storm brought the whole city to a grinding halt. Every block had 2-4 cars in the ditches. Spring and fall are nice when they come around, but too much of the year has miserable weather. Nashville is a fun town, if in college. Union hill had some outstanding 1/8 mile drag racing. But overall I'd rather make 100k in CA than 50k in TN.
edit: legalize it. if you dont want the government in your business and you value personal responsibility (and parenting by extension), you must agree.Comment

I live in KY so let me help a bit. we get snow but not as much as you do up there. YES IT GETS NASTY HUMID HERE, sometimes its not that bad, sometimes its so bad you don't wana leave the house. BBQ is good, but honestly I need more food choices and we don't have many nice ones, everything is chains. I believe he means that there is not a huge demand for his skill set around here, and compared to a state like cali there is not. The housing dive has nothing to do with people wanting to live there, it has to do with all the people buying on money they don't have, and cali and florida are two of the places for people to spend money they don't have to buy shit they don't need.
I live in New Hampshire, we have snow. TN, not so much
More humid than CA.

TN summers aren't that humid. I was there for a weekend last summer.
They've got damn good BBQ, and that's good enough for me.
really!?!? In places like Nashville and Memphis? Do you really know this, or are you just speculating (pulling it out of your ass).
Sometimes it's more complicated than this. When the real estate bubble burst, Florida's and California's housing prices took some of the biggest dives nationwide. Does this mean noone wants to live in CA anymore? Or that people are fleeing the area? I think even you would disagree with this.Originally posted by Beej '86 325esevery time an M-tech 1 spoiler is destroyed, a baby seal dies.87 325:83 jetta coupe:99 volvo c70:99 volvo s70Originally posted by JparkrThe last thing we need are more of the retards on here thinking they are engineers too.Comment

1. Thats snow, is it not?Apparently you've spent limited time in TN.
1. The most snow I've ever seen was 12 inches. In the blizzard of '94
2. Not nearly as humid as Florida, but humid.
3. You ever seen the fat mother fuckers in TN? We're one of the fattest states in the coutnry. We have food. We know food. In fact, that's all I know how to do super well, is feed myself.
4. Ever heard of music? Medical schools? Football?
5. According to this website, my state is 38 and yours is 48. You have a higher unemployment rate than we do.
Keep goin.. Your obviously talking out of your ass here.
Post a list of your certifications please or I shall command Terd_Fergusen to chomp your dick off.
2. exactly
3. You are fat because you eat shit food that needs to be drown in butter
4. Lets see what top tier colleges are in TN?
5. We do indeed have a high unemployment rate. The amount of good jobs on a whole is still much better here. Just being employed doesnt mean its a good job.-Alex

Teenagers already have access to it and DO waste their life on it...
I agree with what you're saying, but any single teenager in any highschool anywhere in the united states has ready access to marijuana. Keeping it illegal will do absolutely nothing to help them.
People who want to waste their life will do it regardless of what is legal or illegal for them. Policing does not help this problem, education and motivation of the youth will.
As far as potency of marijuana goes I believe a higher potency is better. You don't have to use as much to have the same effect. Cheaper, less detrimental to your health, and more efficient.

Oh snap... My colleges are better than your colleges because some OUR old dude charges us more than YOUR old dude.
Protip:
Californian colleges are going down the shitter. Look at the UC system.. yeah raise tuition 30% to keep afloat when professors don't even teach the classes anymore. Students pay $20k to get taught by other students who can't even agree on one common goal, definition, or assignment. Too many student, not enough teachers, low quality education ftw.Comment

For a graduate of Berkeley, you sure do act like a highschool freshman.

I never said anything about the car you drive.
But I did comment on how arrogant you seem boasting your 6 figure income living in high priced, IT saturated California.
Now you just look like more of a douche bag because you took the time out of your busy 6 figure work day to scan in a copy of your paycheck stub.

Vanderbilt is pretty good last time I checked
CA has a high unemployment rate, because it was more severely affected by the housing bubble crisis recession than other states........just like it was more affected by the dot.com bubble recession than other states......just like it was more affected by the 80s oil crisis recession than other states..............CA is just not a recession proof state. That's one of the reasons I wouldn't want to live there.
