incarcerating people for marijuana is a waste of taxpayers money. prisons are overcrowded as is. Go to jail for pot and kiss your life goodbye, you now are now on the same status as serious offenders in terms of getting a job

Really the simplest way to put it is this. Do you agree with the government telling you you're not allowed to do something you want to?

Who cares if it's bad for you, alcohol, heart disease, obesity, and cancer, are the leading cause of death in the world. But you don't see them banning alcohol, smoking, fatty foods, or harmful chemicals. You as an american deserve to choose what you put into your body, whether or not is has social stigmas attached to it.

You know something its the right of the employer to determine how good a fit a prospect may be. This can come down to work history, references, and many other criteria, most employers I know want a RESPONSIBLE, HONEST, PROFESSIONAL, employee, and a piss test is a window into determining that.

I will use myself as a example. My employer sends me out on jobs with no direct supper vision, With about 120k+ dollars worth of gear (depending on the gear can be much as 1/2 a million all in the back of a pickup) along Hazardous materials subject to strict Federal Regulation. You dont suppose he wants to make sure hes not employing someone dope, that with one fuck up could cost him his business. Not counting the fact that the Federal DOT requires it, the company insurance outfit and most of customers do as well, he has to place lots of trust in his employee's much of the time with in a day or so of meeting them.

This should be the last thing on the governments mind. Just think if it was made legal and taxed and you had to buy a growers license. How long do you think if the money was handled right that the national deficit would get some chunks taken out of it? It would be a great way to help out with the economy and with crime rates.
