    top contributors to Obama

just came across a story that listed this site. Kind of interesting to see who made the top.

    http://images.opensecrets.org/obama_...&cid=N00009638
    Top Contributors

This table lists the top donors to this candidate in the 2008 election cycle. The organizations themselves did not donate , rather the money came from the organization's PAC, its individual members or employees or owners, and those individuals' immediate families. Organization totals include subsidiaries and affiliates.
Because of contribution limits, organizations that bundle together many individual contributions are often among the top donors to presidential candidates. These contributions can come from the organization's members or employees (and their families). The organization may support one candidate, or hedge its bets by supporting multiple candidates. Groups with national networks of donors - like EMILY's List and Club for Growth - make for particularly big bundlers.

I guess I don't really see the significance of the list. Each of the organizations/companies has hundreds of employees.

McCain's list looks nearly identical... just less from each.

Professors tend to be more liberal than the general populace, and UC ones average nearly $150k/yr. Not surprising at all that it's that high... I would have expected to be higher.

The list is all contributions from individual employees (and their immediate family members) of the companies/organizations, not the company/organization as well.

Like I said earlier, I don't see any meaningful information derived from the list. McCain's is nearly identical.

It was like 5:2, but yeah Obama definitely had a ridiculous amount of money to spend.

I'm curious to see what the Nov elections will bring with direct corporate contributions.

thought this might go along with the above story...

OBAMA GOT NEARLY 7X FROM GOLDMAN SACHS WHAT BUSH GOT FROM ENRON...

Again, these are contributions from individual employees, not the colorations themselves. It's equally as dumb to try and draw conclusions between Enron (or any other oil/energy company) employee contributions and Bush's policies.
                            It's all interesting, but insignificant/inconclusive.

The MSM also heavily supports the Dems as well:
