I'm not happy. I just really don't understand how you get by thinking that breaking the law and then getting punished for it isn't okay. But maybe it's me.

Last week I exited off the freeway/highway and this fukn white trash fuk was begging for money. He comes to my car and asks me for money, I said no politely and then he asks me then give a cigarette and I said no. He walks away and mumbles saying this punk ass mother fuker blah blah blah. I am an Afghan/American, my family was very very powerful and wealthy before the soviet invasion. We lost everything and came here with shit. My dad worked his ass off and then I supported him at a young age and now we r living the American dream. So I am sure most other ppl in this world see families like mine and yours and wish they can do the same. Some get lucky and get legal status and some the unfortunate dont, so they have to look for other options and come here illegally.Comment

A note on racism:
I find it funny that the 3(Sonny, Hyper, and Digital) that support this girl with such dedication are so quick to point fingers and call "racist". Illegal immigration hits home for the Mexican community and is most largely associated with the Mexican community as a result of proximity. I get that. I get how the Mexican community can feel "attacked" when the issue of illegal immigration is brought up.
However, illegal immigration is not a racial issue at all. I understand that many misguided people assume "illegal immigrant" is synonymous with "Mexican," but for most people that's far from the case. It doesn't matter if an illegal immigrant is from Norway, Mexico, or Australia, they are illegally taking advantage of the institutions that our country has set in place to help it's own citizens. It should be noted that these institutions are paid for by this country's citizens via income tax, sales tax, etc. An illegal immigrant may pay a pittance in sales tax, but they don't fully support the system.
One point is that associating race with a truly non-racial issue only works to strengthen racial boundaries. Pulling the race card here reestablishes the "us against them" mentality, and by doing so, you aren't helping to solve any racial problems here. I urge the three of you to research the phenomenon called "reverse racism." I think it would serve to educate you three as to why there are people in this thread are calling you racists.
What I don't understand is the bizarre sense of entitlement and rationale used by the three of you for supporting illegal immigration. The fact that they are searching for a better future does not justify coming to the united states to steal our services and benefits(health care, use of maintained roads, police, fire, etc). This is analogous to a homeless person in America stealing someone else's house, because they wanted better shelter.
But I'll stop here as I don't fully expect any of you to read what I write anyway. I'll probably be dismissed as just another "racist hick," and told that I'm an idiot.sigpic

I understand what you mean, and I have no problem if they make it easier to get into the US legally, but if you get here illegally there is nothing wrong with the government kicking your ass out, and they should.
My point with the previous post is that you can't single out certain people under the law just because of their intentions. It is not terribly hard to get a student visa, especially if she was a good student. for the record... thousands of undocumented people pay taxes, not talking about sales tax, im talking social security taxes that if they dont become a resident they will never see...all that money goes to people when they retire and such....so dont come with the crap that they steal services when they actually are paying for that shit...and thousands of undocumented fully support the system...i think you should do some research and then come here and argue....
and for the record...i was called an "idiot" first, for saying what i think...everyone has their own opions and beliefs, to me if an undocumented person trying to make a living here and struggling and trying to better themselves is not an issue atleast for me....just because some people have it real easy, some struggle.just like sonny said looking for other options. most of you guys have focused it more toward mexicans....like stated there are other people from different countries that come here illegally here too....trying to have a better life.....

Most of the people here have said it wouldn't even be an issue if they were from Denmark or Canada or Japan. Because those people would get deported, and no media outlet would pick that story up, because there is not story, the person broke the law and paid the price. The people that were talking about non-Mexicans coming here and trying to have a better life were talking about legal immigrants, and no one on here has said fuck legal Mexican immigrants or workers. It's okay to break the law if you're bettering yourself but it's not okay to break the law if you take from someone else (life, robbery) unless of course it's indirect and it helps you achieve your goals.

Social security is a small piece of the puzzle. It's all or nothing. If they only pay most of the taxes Americans pay, it just means they are stealing less.

i think you should read it it will give you some good info, how can they be stealing less...since most have to pay upfront for stuff...hospitals, for calling the fire department...etc....
