if legal citizens were hired to do the cheap underpaid high labor type jobs, prices would skyrocket for those product and people would be complaining about how expensive everything is.

The question would make you racist in the fac that YOU assume that picking strawberries isn't good, honest, work. You think or assume that it's below the average American citizen (Your own self being the baseline for most stupid assumptions) to pick strawberries. Since Mexican/Latino/Spanish types make up the majority of this current work force (cheap labor) and you presume that such jobs are second class work, or below the average American, logically, those that fill these positions are below that of Americans. Actually, they have a decent wall. Arizona was doing this for attention because they got neglected on federal response to illegal immigration and wanted to call attention to it. Most of the money and focus is in Texas and Cali.

It's not just fine and dandy to stop someone, waste their time and interrupt them from whatever they're doing just because their skin is a different color. A lot of drug dealers drive BMW's. Would you be perfectly happy and supportive if you were pulled over 3 times a week on your way to work and undergo a quick search to make sure you weren't carrying drugs? It'll only take 30 minutes, provided you aren't carrying anything you shouldn't be. You would be unexpectedly 30 minutes late to work/meeting/dinner a few times a week simply because you drive a BMW.

Now imagine that's not even a choice you get to make.
