Keeping allies is one of the smartest and prosurvival thing this country can do. And I'm all for supporting our allies.

Yes it is much more complicated than that but China isn't allies with N. Korea just because they want to play hopscotch. China only cares about China. If that requires them to deal with other unscrupulous countries they are willing to do so. China and Korea have been butt buddies for quite some time.

The biggest problem for South Korea is what the fuck do you bomb? Have you seen a picture of North Korea at night. There is nothing, NOTHING. That place is a shit-hole with nothing to lose. It would be like fighting with an AIDS infected meth addict and you are a mogul. Too much to lose so you just cross the street.

The Japs had this idea of mass genocide but it quickly got put on the back burner when we showed them this bomb that could kill a half million people at once.

looks like China will be standing on the side of N Korea. I guess Ms Clinton did not do shit over there this week. This administration is filled with a bunch of self loathing fools.

BTW, China supplies about 90 percent of all goods and services to N Korea.

This would be a perfect time to get tough on China. They have been fixing the value of their currency which is sending our jobs over to them. We should tell them to get tough with NK or their imports will be taxed. I think that will get their attention. Something like this could really seal the deal for US and China relations.

You say that as if they can just call back their loans. Yeah, they aren't going to do that and they couldn't do it even if they wanted to. They need us more than we need them, that's for damn sure. China LOVES us, we GIVE them money practically for free.

All they are good for is cheap labor and worthless junk. 99% of the goods that China produces is useless shit like lead tainted toys and ugly clothes. Shit that we don't need!

Most of the stuff that actually matters, like automobiles, airplanes, semiconductors, weapons, FOOD, etc. are still produced here in the US or with our strong allies.

Taxing their imports would be a fantastic idea. It would lower our dependence upon useless shit that we don't need and that just ends up in the landfills. It would also bring back jobs to the US (which we desperately need right now), and in turn would keep money here.

It may piss China off but they can't do anything unless they have money and they won't if we stop buying their shit. We should hurry the fuck up and do it though before they have the opportunity to build a dozen or so carriers and a couple hundred stealth fighters.

^ I seriously cannot comprehend that logic.

it's essentially telling me that if I were to give you a loan, I should be thankful that you'll consume it with no intention of repaying me back in full and that i'm dependent on you because as long as you owe me something, I have to look out for your wellbeing by underconsuming as long as the principal isn't paid...

Hmmmm... what about the option of me just cutting you off right now, taking the losses, consuming my own money rather than underconsume and pissing money away on something that shows no signs of value.

it is possible but the question is can you comprehend that logic? When the country of Bolivia defaulted on their debt, guess what happen? The government sold their water system despite their people's cry to US companies whgich ended up privatizing them, making their living standards even worse.

Its not out of reach within the realm of possibility, after all the US government did auction off our way of life as collateral to maintain our currency's value. Considering this fact, do you really think China and the rest of the world is really that stupid (and i highly doubt that considering the shitty education in this country in contrast to the rest of the world) will continue buying t-bills just for the sake of throwing away money?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be anti-american. My family and I love this country too much to watch it go down the drain but if you have any solid knowledge of business, you'll realize that it does you no good if you let an individual (let alone a country) simply borrow money without a viable business strategy. Creditors are not stupid, after all how the hell did they become rich in the first place?

And if you look into our history, the US was once in a similar position as China back when we were the economic power. It's known as financial warfare.

France and England were fighting over resources in the Suez Canal in Egypt (who had Russia on its side) during the 1950s I believe? and demanded US to intervene or else face economic sanctions from either countries. Back then the US retaliated by threatening to dump the British pound (causing crazy inflation, and crushing their economies before the US's) because they were trying to get us involve in their little war that simply does not benefit the US other than becoming to politically involved in other people's afairs.

This is South Korea and Japan's fight. If they want the US to intervene, then hire us to intervene. Don't make us go in voluntarily we are broke as it is by through voluntary intervention or preventative intervention in the last few wars after WW2. I mean why bother pissing more people off? We already have the greatest military industrial complex, we can nuke them with a single press of a button, but lets do it efficiently.

Hell and not to sound too evil but if something were to happen to South Korea and Japan (god forbid) you'll get your dream of jobs coming back to the US because both those nation's industries would be in rumble rendering them uncompetitive.

To simplify it lets just say its dollars. Well, they have a LOT of dollars. Those dollars arent on the market right now so when a dollar is being traded they arent impacting the supply/demand. Now, if China sells those dollars for something that means a lot more dollars on the market, making any individual dollar less valuable.

If they threw it all out at once the dollar would drop sharply in value and our PPP would drop. Meaning for anything made outside of the US would immediately become 30% more expensive.

Being said they wont because then they couldnt prop our currency up and get "more for their money" from the shit they sell us.
