A disease I'd prefer to be inflicted with rather than the deluded notions of an invisible being who never speaks, or acts in any observable way. Or of angels and demons whose presence cannot be verified in any way. I understand that modern man (who is in his infancy judging by the way he acts) needs to believe he matters and that there is some "other" place, a "better" place he will go when he dies to make up for all the shit he puts himself and his fellow humans through while alive. That's a neat thought, and I really wish it was true, but sadly, gods apparently don't talk to groups, they only whisper in private which makes anything anyone says about following "god's plan" immediately suspect. It is more likely he is simply living out his own, private delusion.
Every god man has ever invented in his own image is a conceit. A vain notion that the invisible man loves him and wants him to be happy.
Oh, and ever study the Crusades? Very fucking peaceful, that was....nothing like being burned at the stake in the name of god to totally fuck up your party vibe...

it is funny, any other book with so many contradictions in it would be tossed out and laughed, but the bible. When people see the contradictions they just say it is one of the many great mysteries of the bible.
