What I heard was this, we have the best minds in world working on this problem and none of them know what to do.

I do not expect the president to be an expert in this field, I respect Bobby Jindal for his actions, I still think he is a tool bag, but a tool bag that is doing the tight thing for home and mine at this point in time.
like I said I have not heard it, I have been tending to a equine emergency for the last 18 hours. (had a Anglo do a back flip and smash his brain on the ground last night, vet was here again this am and had to put him down).

I cant hardly stand to listen to any politician talk especially about things they dont know the 1st thing about. Like there is a hole in the ground with oil coming out of it, but thats about the extent of what he understands, professional intellectuals dont make good leaders, or do well in the REAL world.

      Action speaks for itself.

He's already blundered it so badly he's down to his supportive base. And even they will be chipped away at.
He should have given Bobby the go ahead and accepted all help that was offered.
But why would he do that when this fits his agenda perfectly? Finally many Americans get to see what many others already knew about this President.

hmm, accepted all the help that was offered. So we should have set off a nuke underwater like the russians offered?

I honestly dont believe they are stalling to push an agenda, I think they will take advantage to push an agenda. No need to let it get worse to push the agenda, enough damage on day one to that. I honestly think it is so bad no one knows what to do! Especially anyone in this forum!

Come on now, you know that wasn't one of the offers for help but an idea of how to "fix" it. You nor they can dodge all the facts by trying to ignore them.

How much of a stretch is it to stall compared to let it happen naturally. This admin is either utterly incompetent or pushing an agenda. There's only two ways about it.

right, so we hired them for their vast knowledge of oil spill cleanup. BTW there is already talk of the dispersments that were used doing more harm then good. Maybe that is why you dont just rush in do shit without testing it first! But the other side of that is, we never had a spill like this, how do you properly test it?

I do like your theory of, BP fucks ups, It is Obama's fault for not fixing it fast enough.

Jesus fucking Christ, pull your head out of your ass already. NO ONE is blaming Obama, but because he's done shit about it and because the government is responsible for the REGULATIONS that were set in place damn right he gets it up the ass.

When other countries offer help you don't reject it.

Of course all you can fucking bring up is the ONE thing that is arguably not helping. Keep ignoring the facts and trying to sideline them...LMFAO.

the regulations were set in place when Obama was a teenager, the govt agency that monitors was/is curropt. BP lied about the amount and size of the leak.........it is a big downward spiral. I am not sitting here defending Obama for every little thing, I have other problems with him and his reaction. You sit here and say he has done shit about it but have not said a single thing about what he should have done other than accept all help being offered, but what help does he accept and how does he uttilize it? National Guard is now available for states to use as they please, what else?

The point of bringing up the dispersments was not to try to discredit everything, it was a point of before we do something we need to think about it and not just do it as to not make the situation worse, as has been done many times now IE: junk shot and other attempts that actually stalled the cutting blade!

Yes, you are trying to rationalize Obama's failure. TOTAL AND UTTER FAILURE. He even approved doing "scouting" for oil off the fucking coast...LMFAO. So what is it O...oil or not?

He turned down 13 offers of help from other countries. Some of them that have dealt with this exact type of thing mind you.
He waited till the oil hit land to give Bobby the approval to DO SOMETHING about the oil.
No pumps, no hay, no barges no nothing for a hell of a long time. Well after he knew about it.
He's trying to put it all on BP's shoulders instead of helping to get the shit cleaned up and deal with the financial side of the clean up afterward.

That shows right there he's not doing all he can to get it cleaned up.

just out of curiousity who has dealt with this exact thing before? I know BP has dealt with it in alot shallower water before, but never anywhere near this depth. What were the other offers to help?

I see no problem with reversing your stance on an issue when proved wrong, to approve scouting for oil and then have a disaster and not think twice would be ignorant.

Why is it completly up to the Obama administration? The week it happened Florida Gov. Crist declared a state of emergency to have use of national guard, which was not yet needed.

everybody says they want smaller and smaller govt, but in a big disaster they want the biggest govt imaginable.

pumps, hay, barges, is that the role of the federal govt or the state? Is this a FEMA issue, ACOE issue, whos issue is it?

and again, say we accept help from these 13 other countries, do we just put them in charge? how does it work?

you have yet to offer anything but criticism

And all you're doing is justifying.

Damn right all I'm giving is criticism. Is it my job to figure all this out? Fuck no, but even I could have done better that Obama. Many could have.

So now it takes a huge federal government to accept help from other countries and get the National guard and Navy mobilized if they need them? And to get barges and pumps rocking?
You're not even trying to think. All your doing is sidelining responsibility of Obama and this administration to take action.

Obama ran on alternative energy. Now he's dabbled in Nuclear and oil. Now he's back to alternative....get a clue.

The Dutch and Norway have systems designed to skim or lift the oil out of the water..
