    21 Days of Drilling...

So, six month freeze, intended to become a three year ban, dated March 10, 2010.

Then he changes his policy, watch this video, dated March 31, 2010...

Then realize that the "spill", "crisis", "endoftehworld", events happened on April 20, 2010.

    {url}nolinkyneeded{/url}

And finally on May 27, 2010, re-imposes the same, exact six month moratorium.

So, in less than 75 days, the administration has flip-flopped 3 times, using this "crisis", not letting it "go to waste".

any one realize a 6 month ban will effectively kill Gull oil exploration in US waters for a very very long time a cost 10's of 1000's of jobs??? (way to protect jobs we have that are still secure, and create all those green jobs huh)

Those rig wont just sit out there in gulf an wait to go back to work. The companies that own them, are always turrning down work in other parts of the world. Well now the have 30-40 rigs freed up. Once they leave they will be on multiple year contract's and will not come back. They cost between 3/4 and 1.25 million a day to be on site, turning a screw or not, oil companies are not going pay them that kind of money to retain them on the chance they can go back to work in 6 months.

This moratorium (if not reversed soon before everyone is gone) will effectively shut down gulf cost oil production by and large for a very very very long time. Not to mention the fact that many of these rigs will be going to Brazil to drill in deeper water, and WE the US tax payer via the 0 administration loaned them 2 billion to do.

Oh and what the best way to get us stupid commoners to buy those little green shit boxes none of us want with out bribing us with tax moneiez, or to tun the heat down in the winter or the A/C in the summer, or buy less stuff that we dont need??? get gas/energy prices to go WAY UP. By shutting us out of some of the largest reserves in territorial waters (well over 25b barrels recoverable) and killing about 10% of US production and world production. What do you think is going to happen, EVERYTHING IS ABOUT TO GET MORE EXPENSIVE.

yup because those rigs will only sit there not making money for as long as it takes for a team of open water tugs or supper heavy transport ships to show up and move them to where they can make money.

Yay, we are doomed to repeat history. Those of us who didn't endure the 1970's Oil Crisis/OPEC/Embargo/Fiasco have no idea what it's gonna be like.

To give an idea for you all to reference from, If you have an odd number as the last digit of your License Plate, and $6.25/gal. you will be able to purchase 7.25 gallons of fuel today....

you realize that the electricity costs will go up because he is forcing the plants to become more "green." right? he even said, that will cost money and they will pass that cost to the consumers.

im OK with paying higher costs if it reduces my footprint and leaves a cleaner world for my descendants.

Cap and trade isn't about the environment. they don't even think it will help much that way. It's about taxes and control.

Seriously Farbin, it's probably time you got the fuck off the computer and started doing something worthwhile with your time. If you can't (or won't) find a job, go volunteer at a soup kitchen. There's a whole world out there just passing you by. Yes, even in Idaho.

I do. I'm busy everyday on my "Ranch". I have more than enough to do around here. Wanna help me drag dead calves and mend fences? Not to mention the garden work.

Nope, I have been doing rehab for calves that are not doing too well at the mid-sized Dairy a friend owns. If their immigrant workers can't keep 'em alive on bulk feed and whatnot, they come spend some time on my ground, eating grass, degassing, and building up some strength in a low stress environment.

And that guy up there says I should find something to do with my time, I say to him, Get inspired, get up, get out of your bubble and attempt to live an entirely different life than you have for the entirety of your life, then come back to this thread and tell me what's up.
