Just the income tax hike alone looks as though it will pull close to $100/month out of my extra spending money.

But I suppose doing that to everyone in a service based economy won't have an effect.

Pelosi is also saying unemployment checks are the best way to create jobs.

I'm glad the child credit is getting cut in half. I'm tired of paying for you twats to have babies. That along with this special marriage bracket should be totally erased.

Hell yeah cut all the entitlements, and make everyone pay a lower percent flat tax. I mean everyone, if you make a 1000 a year pay 25% if you make 3000000 a year pay 25% or whatever percent randomly chose 25%,

About time you said something smart.
Our tax system could be so much easier than what we have.

I was unaware that short of the rarity, your taxes don't pay much for the Child Tax Credit. And, for the sake of arguement, let's say a small fraction of YOUR tax dollers goes into the Child Tax Credit. When is that a bad thing for the future of our Country?

Yeah, I've got a Child and it's the most amazing thing. Beyond that, I find it unlikely that the money I get taxed on in diapers ALONE pays for nearly all of my Child Tax Credit.

So, unless I'm mistaken, which is more than possible, how does cutting the Child Tax Credit really help remove the deficit?

Welfare and the like should be cut waaay before the Child Tax Credit comes under fire.

Collecting more taxes than is absolutely necessary is legalized robbery. - Calvin Coolidge

Do you think we are to this stage yet??? If you only knew how much in taxes we pay every year you would be sick, but so much of it built into the cost of goods you never see it.

                          The EITC is welfare.

We already had the discussion showing you make money on the income tax refund, to the point of nearly covering the SS/Medicare/State income tax you pay as well.
