Glad to hear that the "evil" drug companies said 'fuck it we can let them have it for free' for you guys. Guess everyone else will just pass the buck to the insurance.. oh wait. :drink:
Just because you are an ignorant piece of shit that cant make a valid argument doesnt mean I have to copy-paste to refute stupid bullshit like "a 20 year monopoly."

You couldn't refute a fucking thing I said because even you know you dont know shit. You're such a lazy piece of shit that you couldnt even come up with a new jab, had to reuse mine.

As for an armchair QB, well, again I provided specifics that easily show that the only thing you know about the industry is some, frankly retarded, shit that some asshole told you that any reasonable person would have turned to them to GTFO. Having worked in the industry, invested and dating a girl (for years, living in sin) that not only receives humira free but is on an NIH fellowship (govt agency) at a top flight research medical school; yeah, I guess i should defer to someone who says something as stupid as companies having 20 year monopolies on drugs they develop. If that was the case the only generics would be drugs that were discontinued a decade to go in the first place.

I'm sure you will come back with some stupid, "cool story bro" since you dont know a fucking thing. You are just some (apparently illiterate) broke-ass who wants help with his premiums because he didnt work hard enough in school.

You're an asshole. Must make you feel like a big man to assume that I'm some sort of freeloader just because I'm taking the other side here. Let me tell you something, I've not taken a single government handout. Welfare, unemployment, you name it. I worked hard and paid my own way through school. I make enough money for coverage. This isn't the issue. It's the cost.

Since you're such a smart man why don't you explain why health insurance costs are spiraling out of control?

        Liability Insurance!

rising cost to develop new cures and machinery to find such cures.

Going back to a pre-WWII style system where people have catastrophic insurance and not getting a runny nose paid for, they would shop on VALUE and the free market goes to work.

If you have insurance, there is no reason to go to one clinic over the other, because whether they charge you $50 or $250, you still only pay
the $20 co-pay and your insurance picks up the rest.

Insurance begets higher insurance premiums. I know that's a very broad generalization, but it's true.

good point. Kinda includes the prescription price thing in there too.

Vdub, I agree liability is a problem, but it's a pretty small expense in comparison to everything else. I think more states should put a cap on payouts, that really puts off most of the petty ones.

I am an asshole but you are a moron who talks out of yours. You attempted to call the truth copy/paste and belittle a real situation because it doesn't fit the mold of some bullshit someone blew up your asshole. You really are an ignorant POS and I dont feel good or bad about saying it, its simply the truth.

Spiraling? Mine hasnt gone up significantly in the past 4 years.

Now, for the costs increasing, well any idiot who spends 5 minutes actually researching could see that:

              a. more consumption (aging population)
              b. more complexity (now they have incredible machines that are expensive to buy and run but can find shit we couldnt see before)
              c. more consumption of drugs, everyone has ADHD now or needs viagra.
              d. liability. Ask any doctor about how his cost curve is going. Most have seen their liability coverage increase as there is consistently more fear of a malpractice suit (frivolous ones).

There was some study that 90% of the payout for health insurance happens in 3-4 years of your life. The other issue is younger people are "opting out." So insurance companies are having to deal with customers that are older, consume more and are having less younger people sign on. And now they have liberals saying that health insurance is a human right and they cant turn anyone way, regardless of condition. That means they are forced to accept someone who immediately might require $600,000 in treatments.

Of course, the solution the govt has is to subsidize it. Which works SOO well. Right after they pass it saying its debt neutral the HHS (which is run by an Obama appointee) admits that its not even CLOSE to neutral and will immediately be in the red.
