They don't even collect taxes efficiently. I saw an article recently that an audit of the IRS showed BILLIONS in unaccounted for, collected money.

I think thats a testament to how effective they are at collecting moniz they get billions that they are not supposed to get, and people are too afraid to act to get it back.

Let's put it this way: The US has the highest level of tax compliance in the world. As was said earlier, tax collection is the one thing the US government does better than anyone else in the world.

Keep that in mind when you contemplate trying to evade. Billions of dollars uncollected are minor in the aggregate.

Yet, we don't have any small taxes on shored up accounts that are just here in the States. Leave Cayman Island type tax evasion accounts out of it and we're still in the (moderate estimate) of 20 trillion untaxed dollers from people that have highly paid "creative" tax experts.

0.05% alone would yield billions yearly and really not put much of a dent in laundered money.

True. I've often said that if somebody really wanted Bin Laden found, they need only issue a Federal Tax ID number, and then tell the IRS he owes a few million in back taxes. They'd find his ass in no time. LOL

I work at a decent size accounting firm and i hear stories and see these nerdy uncool looking IRS auditors come in to audit these clients of ours and according to my coworkers.... Do NOT fuck with the IRS. Bring lube, dont speak.
