      I really can't bring myself to care about fish and chickens. Same goes for cows and pigs. Line them up and cut em up one by one, it doesn't matter to me. It's food and people gotta eat. They are right about the elephants and tigers though.

      I think they would be taken more seriously if they focused on saving wild animals instead of genetically modified farm animals.

              PETA are out of their minds. I think they are responsible for shutting off water to California's Central Valley (agricultural area that depends on water for irrigation, obviously) in order to protect an endangered 2" fish. Screw the farmer's ability to earn a living and play a vital role in the 5th largest economy, these fish must survive, dangit!

              On the other hand, I don't see the need for circuses, rodeos, Sea World, etc. Keeping them captive and training them to perform for our delight is cruel, IMO.

                  Our city counsel got a letter a couple of years ago from PETA pleading for us to change the the name of the town to White-Sea Kitten. When they were on the kick for wanting to change the vernacular from Fish to Sea Kittens.

                      I agree they are always so out there, but the living conditonos of some circus animals and kept animals is horrible.

                      Also puppy mills are devil work, fuckng horrible stuff and they way that some animals are slaughtered

                          I agree with a few of the things PEAT wants but the fact they go way over board on many things discredits them on the more realistic things they want to do.

                                                          People have long been irrational when it comes to animals. In Britain, I think there was a Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Cats before there was ever a Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children! Never mind children were forced to work in deplorable conditions at a young age-I mean boys as young as 5 were put to work in mines as "trapper lads". They sat in one cramped spot underground and opened and closed vents so that the air pressure was balanced when elevators and mine cars moved. The shifts were 12-18 hours long. But the cats of the day were well protected.....
