    The genius of the Feds......

"Texas is the nation's energy-production capital, but the air we breathe is cleaner today than it was in 2000, even though the state's population has grown by nearly 3.5 million people. Between 2000 and 2008, Texas' nitrogen oxide levels decreased by 46 percent and ozone levels dropped by 22 percent, compared with national reductions of 27 percent and 8 percent, respectively. All major Texas metropolitan areas meet the 1997 federal eight-hour ozone standard, with the exception of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, which is within 1 part per billion of meeting the standard."

So Texas does a better job than the Feds and any other state, and most other countries, of reducing it's pollution relating to power generation and the Fed's think they should come in and take it over.

But really, it's not a power grab.........

Yeah we have been over this on a slightly different topic. The fed dont like a state to be independent and make its own rules no matter the results. Just a means to gain more control over states and the people under a central all powerful govt while retaining the trappings of what our system is supposed to look like so people wont get it till its to late. The founders must be rolling in their graves.

remember this tread form a couple of months ago same deal, DO IT MY WAY CUZ I SAID SO.

Montana and its NO Speed limits was a good example of this as well. Traffic issues WENT DOWN drastically. The feds said nope you do that, speed limits or you will keep paying your Taxes for roads but wont be getting any back to fix them

And imagine a country with a government so large that huge number of workers, voting workers, are employed by said government. Will these people votes tend to increase or reduce the size of their employer? I don't see them voting themselves out of a job...

            You're right and wrong.

              LOL Woah typo opps.

And really the feds were after the state to reinstate the speed limits and were threatening to pull Federal HWY funding, the lawsuit was just the final nail in the coffin. Yes traffic wrecks went down when the speed limits were eliminated, and went back up when the were reinstated. Funny how that happens huh.

I dont think you have been in ID long enough for you marksmanship skills to have improved to a point where you would be effective at the ranges you will have to operate at to make it a worth while trip. Unless you are just gonna go for a hike
