His mistake was going outside with it and discharging it. Unfortunately you actually have to wait for them to force entry, then you can mow the fuckers down. He would have been better off creating a fort inside and waiting for them to come in.

Driveway on the side of his house is his property... they had no business being there. Just like the guy, who shot 5 kids on NY subway in early 90's, if he felt threatened enough, he should have opened fire and he was clearly threatened.

They have a problem with 2000 MS13 members in that area? and police is arresting people standing up to gangs? This guy is going to walk, but it's going to let other owners know to get a rifle. At some point there will be a shoot out.

With the way the law is these days even if they started to tear the outside of his house apart (not entering his house) all he can do is sit and wait for the cops. Who would then just tell them to go away because there are too many of them.
