^Fayetteville, Rogers, Eureka Springs (BTW did you get a chance to go up there?) are pretty cool places.

But there is ALOT of "backwoods" Arkansas. We even ran into a "gas station" if you can call it that, that still had a "working" outhouse as the restroom. THis was outside of Fallsville, AR, found the place after needing to get someone's wrecked motorcycle to a "parking lot."

Why is it that gay supporters think people are scared of gays? That argument is about as ridiculous as the idea that if you don't support gays you must not have confidence in your own sexuality. Yeah there are lots of retarded people out there that are so uninformed that it's not being scared it's utter hate that drives them. It's like saying skin heads (Nazi skin heads) are scared of Jews. It's hate that drives them not being scared. Which frankly is much more threatening than being scared.

The AIDS comment was out of the ball park for sure. AIDS is not solely a gay disease. Statistically it afflicts gays and black women more than anyone. But to blame gays only as spreaders is a failing argument right out of the box.

I believe a lot of hate comes from ignorance and or being indoctrinated into a thought pattern.
You surround yourself with a certain type of people and you'll find yourself bending toward their pattern of thought. Having a broad range of friends or acquaintances in my opinion is the best thing you can do. You'll find people helping your opinions. When you think you're right on a subject and a friend simply points something out you that you may have missed or not thought about you grow and think with many more other ideas. Critical thinking.
Surround yourself with hateful people and see where you go. A child brought up can be molded very easily. Fear has little to do with it imo.
Fear seems more primal to me than hate. Hate sits at the surface most times and can be beaten much easier than fear. Although I admit fear can be created from being uneducated on a subject. I feel it's much less likely in the case of gays.

Speaking of being indoctrinated into a thought pattern:

Seems to happen with most religions.

I love how it's considered a "debate". Fact seems to have no meaning to some.

Makes me wonder, what's a flat earth look like from orbit? A sim city tile?
