    It's so easy to try to discredit the thread starter instead of use your head that politicians are trying to create ridiculous bills. That's what it's about. Sad that that has to even be pointed out to a few of you.

    Portland two years ago tried getting a "only OE tires can be sold at all" bill into a vote.

      That's what they do, create bills. Yes some seem ridiculous, others seem reasonable. The whole point of proposals are to generate discussion and get a "feeler" of what the people want. Most of the stupid bills never pass because they're stupid. This is how democracy works.

      The issue lies with the people who act as though a bill proposal is a decided law; it's not. Stop being so overdramatic.
