The guy that owns the package store near my work has shot and killed 3 people that were atempting to rob him at gun point. Dude keeps a hand on the gun when people walk threw the front door. He would have been dead long ago if they ever had banned guns in our city. Instead there are 3 less people on this earth that are willing to do armed robbery.
Fuck gun control and anyone thats stupid enough to believe in having some fake sense of security.

Why to other western countries with strict gun control laws have homicide rates < 10% of ours?
Who has a rate <10% of ours?
Taking the UK as an example, yes the homicide rate is lower but property crimes are mostly far higher. Burglaries per capita: 13.8321 per 1,000 people in UK vs 7.09996 per 1,000 people in the US.
I take it back, It's actually closer to 2-5% our firearm homicide rate. Only about 5 western countries even are listed because the rest have rates so low it hardly shows up.
Population size has nothing to do with it when you use statistics on a crime-per-x # of persons basis.
Countries with lower firearm homicide rates than us:
Uruguay
Ivory Coast
Poland
Bulgaria
Slovakia
Azerbaijan

.
A 'gun culture', such as the US, strongly promotes the use of guns (whether legitimate or illegitimate)...
I'd like to see a report of Western countries that compares violent crimes (any weapon) to distribution of wealth. It would be interesting to see if the percentage of the poor positively correlated with violent crimes. Maybe Americans just use guns (as opposed to knives or other objects) because they're plentiful.
