Also, isn't marriage originally ordained by religion? And biblically god calls homosexuals an abomination,(i'm sorry, edit here, he calls homosexuality an abomination) so if the god of the religion that originally instituted marriage calls a homosexuality (edit) an abomination, then why are they so offended that they don't have the "right" to marry? Very confusing to me. Also, are you saying that some guy doing a headstand, and spreading his asscheeks is what happens in the showers out in cali? Hmmm... I'm glad I've never gone there. And yeah, I'm sure they're doing it for entertainment, by taking Jesus, the son of God, and making him a mockery. Last I checked, biblically, Jesus didn't hate on anybody. (of course, I don't believe the Bible tells of any encounters between Jesus and homosexuals) Why are you wasting your time trying to piece together a piss poor defense of the people in that particular video? Are you a homosexual? or are you just trying to properly rep Cali? (NORCAL, BRO! SOCAL BRO!) Who fucking cares, bro? I can tell you why I'm jumping on this, I fucking hate your state. It's unbelievable how many fucking idiots I see driving around midwest missouri, with missouri tags sporting huge NORCAL or SOCAL decals on the back of their vehicles. It's funny, I'm guessing they moved here because they couldn't afford to live in that shithole you call a state, or possibly get their vehicles legalized, or perhaps they were having breathing issues from the smog... or maybe they were nervous about something out there giving them cancer, because apparently everything can cause FUCKING CANCER IN CALIFORNIA! Keep your state, and your weak ass, outrageously flamboyant homosexual rights movement.

      Thad.

this made me laugh. at least you are honest about why you have such a strong opinion! ha ha!

I don't think it's too confusing. The legal and social repression of homosexuals is backed by powerful organizations and lobbies that they view as bullshit, and so it upsets them.

The flamboyant shit is a bit much, in my book - but I won't pretend to understand what it's like to internalize your sexuality for 10, 20, 30 years. And I guess they want to slap society in the face with what they're looked down upon for. I also think it gets more attention because heterosexual PDA is more often looked past while homosexuals doing something as simple as holding hands sticks out like a sore thumb. I dunno. It doesn't appeal to me in any persuasive way, so I'm not really sure what they're shooting for in the big picture with displays like this.

If it was Scientology or Mormonism or one of the "wacky" ones, would you feel differently?

(I'm not saying all homosexuals are like that, but I know quite a few who are, and they're usually the loudest, most obnoxious, and most outspoken, ugh)

Sorry, this kind of shit drives me fucking nuts.

          Thad.
I would believe its some sort of odd celebration for the advancement homosexuality's acceptance in society. (Seriously not hating on it) Some people really are like that.

I think heterosexual pda is just as obnoxious. But you don't often see heteros swapping spit, unless they're drunk, or the couple consists of a skinny guy, and a really fat gal sitting on a bench downtown. Whereas I've seen first hand two guys sucking face downtown on the sidewalk (probably caused by some eXperimenting) and a lesbian couple making out at the front of a childrens softball game.... ugh (and this is in midwest the "bible belt" missouri). And yeah, scientologists and mormons both make me wary, but since Tom Cruise is proven to be absolutely batshit crazy, the "scientology in the news" craze has fallen by the wayside (as far as I can tell) and Mormons apparently are loudmouthed and well financed, so they'll continue battling that gay marriage law, and will continue making the news. But if either one of these "religions" had a hunky jesus contest, I'd be just as disgusted... actually, probably even more so.

Agreed. I'd be less negative about it if people didn't use the government to force their silly fears on other people.

If people would grow the fuck up and think for themselves we wouldn't be arguing about these stupid non-issues.

I don't personally care if gays and lesbos want to tie the knot. But I see absolutely no reason for them not to.

My personal beef with religious fear politics is the difficulty of finding a particular vegetable in Utah, having grown up in CA.

My hypothetical was what if it were Scientology or Mormonism that were targeted. Much different.

Nope. I hope that the MSM would cover those displays as well. The fringe of any group, be it the westboro freaks, abortion clinic bombers, radical Islamists, or these guys, the public should be made aware that this element exists. I have a problem with the MSM giving a pass to radical left groups. And I hope they never stop covering the crap that comes from the radical right.

As for Prop 8 / gay marriage, I don't think any of the dudes on stage at that event are the least bit interested in a monogamous relationship much less an actual marriage. I could be wrong.
