there was also a shooting at a youth camp on an island called Utøya a few hours after the bombing. reports saying ~30 kids dead. For fuck's sake.

This is all happening on an island called Utøya and there are approx. 560 attending the camp. Many more people were at the camp today to listen to Gro Harlem Brundtland, who was holding a review of her political career.
The shooting is ongoing and there are unconfirmed reports that five people have been shot.
edit: The police are now confirming 4 deaths.

UPDATE 2:53 p.m. ET: NRK quotes police as saying they now suspect one or more bombs may be at the scene at Utoya.
UPDATE 2:51 p.m. ET: The Norwegian news agency NTB quotes witnesses describing a scene of "complete panic."
