yeah, I'm not quite sure what that whole "so much hate in one person" but "all the love we can show together" shit is.

"fighting terror" has for me meant bullshit wars and liberties slowly lost. Sure, we hear about quelled attacks stopped at the planning stage every now and then which is a great. How about more of that and less of the aforementioned.

We all need to focus on showing love together, yes, but love for our liberties. These random (and I only say random because they are far from as frequent as those wanting to impose their respective "fights against terrorism" would have us worry about and believe) acts are some of the risks/sacrifices we make in order to enjoy our liberties.

No doubt there can be lines drawn but guess who draws those lines.. And once that occurs it's no longer "the line to be drawn" but a agenda-filled action by those wanting greater power, wealth, and control.

I haven't read too many details on the guy who carried this out but saw something about purchasing huge amounts of fertilizer. I would imagine things are in place at least here in the US where large purchases of certain materials are regulated. Could have been possibly stopped there?

I don't think you understood it. This man is going to be punished. It's still not crystal clear if he was working alone, or with a group. It's too soon to say. He got caught, and there will be consequences, of course. I'm not too sure how he would be trialed, but if he gets out someday, he won't stay alive for long.

If there was more people in on it, they are going to get caught as well.

How are you supposed to see this coming? It's not like we accept this and just continue like nothing has happened. But we can't change what happened, and we need to focus on the survivors.

          How would you proceed?

The reason he could buy 6 tonnes of fertilizer is that he had a farm.

One more victim died in the hospital today. Four are missing.

Maluco: I fully agree with you 100%

Oh and the guy bought a shit ton of fertilizer because he had a farming business/ Farm. Buying 6 tons of fertilizer when you have a farm is very very routine.

When I lived in MI I was working a small side job in the winter in Manchester. I needed some Kero for my heater, so I stopped a larger fuel station. Well this station is the same one the McVeigh bought all the diesel to make his Ryder truck bomb outta of. Well you have to be ON A FUCKING LIST APPROVED BY THE FEDS, to buy diesel and Kero from that station, none of the other ones that are around just that one. how dose that make any kinda sense????

Surprised they didn't pass legislation to require people who own diesel powered vehicles to file and request a special federal permit to purchase diesel. And only in limited quantities. Being as no human being should ever want 1000 gallons of a volatile fuel that could.... GASP... be used to blow something up.

No never, we use to buy 1200 gal of #1 to heat house with about sept, and then burn what was left in the spring out in the trucks and farm equipment (we heated with wood most of the winter anyway). Then when that was getting low order 2500 more or so of #2 for the equipment and about 800 gal of gas. Not to mention the 6-10k lbs of fertilizer, and the occasional 4+ tanks of anhydrous.

Just think all the explosives and meth we could have cooked up with all that???

                        exactly!!!

and that's just it! Companies that get government funds are held to audits! Example: a certain percentage of production and non-production purchase orders have to be placed with businesses that are minority owned. So, WTF, where does the appropriate version of this application go when it comes to these attacks!?

We need to take it back to square one - governments just can't think outside of the fkng box! The same nature of government we touch on to argue (discuss) other issues, also applies here. The mentioned "red tape", "bureaucracy", etc... For a lack of better terms, it's like this needs profit-minded applications. The fkng damned thing is the government is in control of the reactions. It's damned to fail. There are very smart ways of chipping away at this problem and I imagine a lot of you guys can understand what I'm getting at. These huge expensive ridiculous government models of solutions are anything but!

What you are describing is why I am currently looking for 20-40ac out in the hills where most of you would consider BFE or the Boonies a good hour from town (most on here would consider my towns to be BFE as well) . You know peace and quite, and l can do what ever the fuck I want.

^^That is part of why I like the Libertarian standpoint, but we would have to have a total, catastrophic collapse of the entire system to stand a chance of replacing it with anything, and the chances that the replacement is a better vision then the one we have now is still a crap shoot. Collapse could equal smaller government, or, collapse could equal ONLY government.

I thought I did that, gave up everything I knew, but I still get visits from the cops for barking dogs and zoning notifications about how my security motion based lights are directed.
