I've met a lot that do, and you can see the Jews (Israel) and Slaveowners (Egypt) issues from 2500+ years ago, so, systemically, no, humans don't forget the transgressions against their ancestors.

Seeing as I have no real argument against it. I have no option other than to heed it.

However....

My opinion is still the same. If humans choose not to change their thoughts and actions, and continue to hold a grudge, I hold no sympathy for their self imposed strife.

That is a nice way of putting "culture" while shifting blame to others. Just because you are poor doesn't mean you have to be criminal. The issue is not black people but urban black culture. Living in Atlanta you can easily see both sides, there are blacks who are "whiter" than I but then you go south of I20 you can experience a completely different culture. They don't even associate with the aforementioned black people. Creating their own isolation and expecting other cultures to adapt to them is the greatest hindrance to their success they will ever experience.

Only if you read it out of context...we let them get away with it. If it were a white guy dong it to a black man, the people around to hear it would defend the black guy. That's how America rolls with racism these days.

It was so jacked up how at 8am all of the milwaukee news outlets had comments about it being "black on white violence" , "racially charged", etc. Then by about 9:30am all but 1 news source had changed the story to remove the racial aspect of it, downgrading it to just "fighting after the fair" . Call it as it is, dont tip-toe around the truth.

I have a fun idea for this thread:
If you were suddenly dropped into office, what would you do?

Because I have no idea what would be best but something radical needs to happen. I agree that the basic premise of this problem is having a large, mostly uneducated workforce that's been abandoned by the manufacturing jobs. Creating a subculture that is self-isolating is not really helpful to them but i think they are free to do this as long as they aren't causing trouble so I'd just stick to trying to fix jobs.

Here's mine:

- Tweak business tax in a protectionist wort of way.. Make sure it's cheaper to pay someone here than in China. I'd like to think this can be simply just reducing local tax, eliminating any breaks for overseas.. But I know there's a lot more to it when you get into the details.
I've often thought we should set import tariff at "eye for an eye" levels, which people quickly dismiss as very protectionist but in my opinion that is the other guy's fault if it ends up at 20%. It's their move if they want it down to 0%. simple, right? So yeah apples and oranges with labor, not sure what to do there. anyways..
This is not to be confused with lower income tax, as I am thoroughly convinced at this point that "trickle down" strategy does not work (arguably even BACKFIRED) when applied there as we've seen for 10 years or so now.
Not just that but we have a budget to balance, and something has to step up when slashing corporate tax by such a drastic amount. (treating spending separately)

- about spending.. I know the first thing most of you guys will go for is welfare programs with the attitude like all of these people are freeloaders who aren't even interested in work. Obviously not if they're fucking rioting! And some people actually do need it. We're a civilized nation, not one that lets people starve in the street. That said it might suck up 30~60% less money if we put the foot down on abusing the system. Even if it took so much effort to enforce that it still cost the same and just doled out that much less money, still a win. An able bodied person that doesn't work at all should not be getting money. I also would remove any tax breaks or welfare increases for having kids. If you can't afford to have a kid then DON'T. I know that tax break hits home for a lot of you.. well I still am not interested in paying you to have a kid. But yeah you can't just outright yank out the rug on this one.

-Legalize pot. it's harmless. tax it. reduce spending on prisons and the war on drugs.

- blast minimum wage. It's political suicide but I'd drive it as low as they'd let me. I can prey that the typical register biscuit could still afford to put gas in the car but it's not likely that the no-skill jobs will pay more than the minimum. Thank Indonesia. We gotta compete.

I agree with Ryan Stewart, my own experience from my part of the country. Three distinct poor parts of the Tulsa area. Black, white and Mexican.

Two of these areas are unsafe/crime ridden.

That's not racism, its the truth. At least in Tulsa county.
