You have too many trees in your yard!

They are really speeding up the muni law crackdowns. Soon, the oil on the driveway, sprinklers spraying on the sidewalk, warming up your car in the driveway on a winter morning, etc. stuff will continue popping up, they are gonna make people scared to do anything that isn't mandated soon.

In a neighborhood with convenants I would agree. BUT anything outside of that I would have a problem with unless it was deemed unsafe I guess. Then what is unsafe? meh some people have WAY too much time on their hands and want to justify their jobs.

So why doesn't she just mow the damn lawn? It's quite possible to do this and not hit the growing trees. Cities have rules, I have to keep my yard mowed and the cars not parked on it. Cry me a river.

Because she think's it's a "certified wildlife habitat."

I thought zoning laws were created to prevent crazy people from doing exactly this?

Eariler this year a woman in Oak park MI (nicer sub of detroit) was threatened by the city of Oak Park with fines and Jail time for planting a veggie garden in her front yard. I think once it went national, the city dropped it, not wanting negative publicity

Detroit news, weather, sports, and traffic serving all of southeast Michigan and Metro Detroit. Watch breaking news live or see the latest videos from programs like The Nine, Let it Rip, and FOX 2 News.

When I still lived in that shit hole state nearly every city was enforcing the no running vehicle while unoccupied / Longer than 1min of non driving activity. So you have a diesel and you let it warm up 5-10 min on cold winter mornings and the cops see it you were getting a ticket. The cops in the lansing and Jackson area were just driving around the more affluent neighborhood and subs from 6-9am in the winter looking for cars in the drive way running after the owners were pushing the remote start to warm it before they go to work. I know several people that got the up too 150 dollar fine (depending on your city)

With all this said its getting harder out here were I live now IN FUCKING MONTANA, to find no covenant/no HOA land. Thanks to the great CA Migration and development boom, everything is covenants, Like you live 18 miles outta town 6 miles up a forest service road on 28ac and you are not allowed to park your truck or 35k dollar horse trailer out side ?????? Yeah we looked at place like that (Dude from Silicon Valley built a 4m home an sold off the rest of the land) but had his lawyers add a covenants package to all his new neighbors but his parcel remained free of such restrictions
