As a smoker, I find this to be ridiculous. We know smoking is bad for us. We choose to to it anyway. I think the short story did a great job of illustrating how stupid this is. Obesity is just as much of a health concern as smoking is, at least here in the US.

If you smoke now, and plan to continue smoking regardless of the warning on the box, why the hell would you care in the first place? The goal is to discourage people from starting, if you're going to ignore it anyways then this doesn't affect you in the slightest.
