Lets think about this for a second. What would be the end game of the US govt controlling the population like this. what exactly would they gain by doing this, we would go from being a normal country being a major part of the world economy, to being a isolated totalitarian regime. it would really fuck the world economy up. Also it would be really bad PR for the govt, the population mass who are oblivious now, given enough time under the regime would rise together and remove it from power. Also the rest of the would would take notice as well.

The govnt has noting to gain by making a move like this.

I'm not saying it won't/cant happen, of course it can, but if it did what would be the point of doing it?

Don't forget that the army that would be supposedly attacking us is made up of our own people. So the idea is that they would just mindlessly attack their own families because the government tells them to. I could see a small percentage who might have a general lack of regard for society might go along with it but I have to hope that the vast majority would use logic and common sense and not participate in this.

in the 30's, FDR's admin outlawed the physical possession of gold. you were breaking the law to have gold coins/bars.
part of the law required anyone opening a safe deposit box had to have a federal government official present before you could open your safe deposit box.
