^Another question. I believe in Jesus Christ, I believe that he was a real person. I believe my morals and ethics follow the teachings of Jesus Christ such as being a good person, treating others well, and being true. However, with that said I don't believe in a higher being. What would that make me? My morals match his teachings because I genuinely want to be a good person.

So you believe in a wholly perfect being, that just sprouted up out of nowhere? That really makes you nothing haha(religion wise). Thats basically the same as following a more modern day teacher, or religious figure. You're still an atheist, just an atheist who at least has his morals in a better place than most. Hopefully that came out correctly, not trying to sound like a dick.

What makes you a Christian in your own words? What makes you feel you can call yourself a Christian with confidence?

From all my understandings, I believe in Christ, I try my best to live by his teachings, and therefore will be saved when my time on earth is over. If you don't believe that, then that's cool, it's your right to make up your own mind.

Being a true Christian means being Christ-like. Doing what Christ did for us through his mercy, love, and most importantly grace. It's not a religion or something you do on Sundays. Its a daily struggle to live a righteous life that God desires. It's about being the dead to your own selfish immoral self and being alive in Christ. Also, every day we need to be the light of the world and reflect Jesus.

Read the Bible and you will see what you need to do to be Christ like. :)

But what if you live a righteous life, being good, passionate, and everything that Jesus represented...but you didn't have a religion? Would you be considered a true Christian? I'm not trying to start anything I'm just curious.

I'm sure there are plenty of Christians that have that view but don't have the resources to do so. So no, it's more a sense of mind.
Just that you beleive in "god" Imo does not make you a Christian. Or as I say a true Christian. Maybe a Christian of sorts or variation.

The definition of a "true Christian", in its simplest form, is that you accept Jesus as your one and only savior. That is the only requirement. If you mean "true Christian" as in, saved. If you mean a "true Christian" as in one who best embodies the likeness of Christ, then disregard what I said. I should have clarified earlier.

The issue is its very hard to be able to be able to tell a "real" Christian is. Many claim to be, and are incredibly self righteous and pious? Does that make them "less" of a Christian? Course now, but It does give a bad name and show they are not truly committed.
