Ya know, considering half the electronic devices everybody uses daily, PHONES being my main example, have capabilities that nobody realizes. Oh it's just my phone. Mean while it's tracking everything you do, places you go, stuff you search for, stuff you write and type, ya know just things like that.

Who's to say that remote safety doesn't have a gov implemented shut off switch that isn't actually made aware to anyone. When you go to buy one they aren't going to actually tell you it can do that, just like when you buy a phone they don't tell you those things either.

Can you even begin to imagine how impossible it would be to filter through all the shit millions of people say and write at any given moment?
Take friday night for example, all the drunk people calling friends and saying/writing crap. How could any agency ever make sense of all that?
Of course, if 80% of your text messages are to a foreign number about the price of 300 sniper rifles, yeah, you might want to worry. But noone cares how many shots you've had, how many vags you sucked dry or the price of your set of bottlecaps.

Fuck welfare, I want this simply so I can leave my wallet at home forever, I am poor enough that on one will want to steal my identity. This would be the shit, buying something really quick with a thumbprint or going into a bar/club by looking at the retina scan, fuck yes!

And I don't think cash will EVER go out of style, don't care what anyone says. So if you are afraid of becoming part of the grid, just carry cash everywhere. Don't know, I think it's ingenious and cool.

Why would you even want electronics involved in the operation of your gun, just one more thing to go wrong. and it can be tracked.

As for electronics in the body, i say no, until biotechnology is good enough to support full body system replacements, such as electronic eyes, limbs, brain enhancements, mechanical organs, and full mechanical bone structure replacement.

Gun's don't kill people, the government does.

Soon they'll be enforcing parking tickets, damn police states man!

You can already go to jail for unpaid parking tickets.

To be honest, there's a lot of good to putting electronics into a gun.
I would want as much information as possible available for when my gun gets fired. I want it to take a fucking HD guncam video complete with sound for a full minute before it goes off. Time stamp and GPS stamp. If my ass lands in court I will have all the proof I need to defend myself that it was used legally at a range, self defense, etc. Sure that would be a lot of data for shooting/hunting but then again you can put that awesome buck kill on youtube or something. Or just have it delete/roll overwrite. whatever.
I want biometric lockout so that if it is taken from me it can't be used against me. I want the firing pin to stamp a fat middle finger pattern into the shells and the barrel to have an easily identifiable off-center rifling. No question what I shot at and what I didn't shoot at.

Most of these I wish I could get in a car too but it's still stupid expensive to do. Would be nice to just play a video proving who's fault the accident is.

These are things I would do voluntarily if they became affordable. Not to be confused with government mandate, totally different.

But yeah as far as implants, I would totally get something if it makes my life more convenient. Don't have to carry keys anymore? sign me up. Don't have to carry wallet anymore? sign me up. Some awesome keyboard/mouse interface? Sure I'll try it.
I almost got one of those little magnets put in my hand when I was doing electric work so I could feel which wires were live without having to dick around with the meter first.

The only variant of this I can justify for government use is simply identification. And this would be much less of a pain in the ass and harder to fraud than the current setup. As long as it was a true encryted key, not a regular "dumb" rfid that could be casually read and duped. Because somehow I could imagine them half-assing this...

I do agree on the biometric lockout, so only you can fire it, but disagree on the datalogs and video. While both my be beneficial to you in court, the same logs can be hacked and edited to show data that falsely incriminates you.

Regarding the keys - most home and car locks today are based on a 200 year old patent (it's history goes back as much as 2000 years).
You may want to look into how easy it is to open almost any mechanical lock and reassess your doubts towards electronic security.

I still want to know what freedoms you think i'm giving up by making my life more convenient. That reflective hat of yours seems to be reflecting away alternative perspectives.

Almost every car break in is done either to an already unlocked car or some crack head smashing a window. Your electric lock isn't going to stop that from happening. Sorry I don't like electronic anything really. Anything that has a signal has the ability to be hacked and fucked with.
