Since we've been feeling all religious-ee lately....

How can I rectify my belief in Karma against that I don't believe in God, or at least not in the Judeo-Christian/Islamic since?

Maybe believe that everything in this world has its counterbalance? In effect that's what karma's function is.

I think personally that if you were to shed self perceptions and thoughts of self-hipocracy it is easier to find faith in more spiritual mechanisims.

I am not what you would call religious (Although i will defend certian religious views) I feel that there is absolutely something there, although this isn't the place here to drill down, there are things I seem to have faith in, Karma, transfer of energy, some other things.

I don't think that the end is the end, I don't think that it is floating on clouds with wings either.

          Great question.

Apparently it matters not how good of a person you are. If you don't believe, your going to hell/purgatory/whatever the end is that each sect of Christianity thinks happens with us evil non-believers.

Is it a 'belief in Karma' or a hope that arseholes get what they deserve? ... and when arseholes do get what they deserve, there is a certain satisfaction?

Nah, I don't really care if assholes "get their come uppance" so to speak.

I do think there is a "natural" order to things, vs some man in the sky helping Tebow get his ass kicked by a real QB.

Was flabbergasted this week when I read a story that nearly 50% of Americans think God is helping Tebow win. As if there was a "God" he gives a damn about the NFL.

Big believer in karma which is why I try to save thank you for everything and try to be nice. Hopefully itll come around.

Does it really matter if people want to think god likes tebow. If people want to believe why does it matter, as long as they are not shoving religion down peoples throat continue to believe in god, ra, Zeus, or whoever.

Karma is simply good or bad happening to you as a result of you doing good or bad, it is not some mystical force. If I steal, chances are I'm already a bad person or someone will have known I've stole. The fact that my thievery is now knowledge to someone else makes it easy for bad things to happen to me, like being arrested or punished. Is that karma? Of course not, bad things happen to bad people cause they mix themselves in lifestyles that attract negative situations. The same can be said for good.

I'm judging by this, and your other responses, that you aren't exactly the brightest crayon in the box.

So because I try to approach these topics with logic I'm a moron? Sorry if I interpreted your question wrong, the fact that interpretation was necessary to begin with doesn't speak well for you. Ditch the ego champ, you're not doing a very good job filling the shoes.
